    Date of transaction online purchase: 5/1/25 Date of delivery: 5/9/25 Items purchased: Heart-Shaped Gift Box 15 Macarons x3 $72.00; "I Love You, Mom" Heart Shaped Hand Calligraphed Gift Box x1 $84.00 Total: 4 items @$325 ($25 charge for ***** overnight)Issue: Items arrived damaged and in very poor condition. Macaroons were crumbled, pieces of macaroons were falling out of the plastic and boxes all over the counter. These were purchased as Mother's Day gifts and are not presentable or usable for the purposed intended.Advertising: These items were advertised as special Mother's Day gifts online via ********. In the advertisement, the macaroons were intact and not crumbled. Since I paid over $70 per box for 15 macaroons each, I would think the macaroons would have been better packaged and cared for given that presentation is at least half the reason why they were purchased, as evidenced by the fancy heart-shaped box they came in for Mother's Day and advertised as such.Attempts to resolve with vendor: As soon as the items were delivered, I opened the box and promptly contacted the vendor via email. I explained the issue. The vendor refused to provide a replacement or refund. The vendor said it was normal to experience "light damage." However, the damage on my items was beyond "light" and the vendor should have known to ship with more care as the vendor admitted that they are " fragile food items." The items arrived in huge box (loosely placed in a large bag inside the box) with no padding or other protection to ensure these "fragile food items" would arrive intact.Resolution requested: Prompt refund as the items I paid are not the items I received.

    To whom This May **************** my complaint about the Laduree Bakery at Glendale Americana has not been resolved and they still do not have their prices listed on their menu board. They simply covered up the old prices with tape.

    Thank you for letting me know what has transpired since I put in my complaint to the BBB. I appreciate the feedback. Laduree makes it impossible to get a refund on a purchase because the manager is usually not on site. I checked several weeks ago and they still don't have all the new prices up on their menu board. Some of the prices have been taped over, but there is no new price posted. I may try putting in one more complaint to the Americana, which is on site and takes in customer complaints.

    If I do hear back from Laduree I will let you know, but I doubt that will happen.
