In December, I entered into a contract with them for **************************** Services. The scope of work included:Reviewing available geotechnical data for the area and adjacent properties, and performing general seismic analysis in accordance with current building codes.Geologic downhole logging of one (1) boring excavated at the location of the proposed new seepage pit(s).Laboratory testing and data analyses.Preparation of an initial findings report providing preliminary design recommendations for site preparation, foundations, seismic design, and drainage control. We conducted a first site visit, and they suggested obtaining a document from the seller to determine if it was worthwhile to proceed with the project. I obtained this document from the seller, and after a quick review, they informed me that based on the report, it was not worth proceeding because it showed landslide materials that would make construction too expensive. Although I had already paid them a retainer, they informed me they would only charge for the hours dedicated. To my surprise, they inflated the hours to "magically" match the amount already paid, without providing any report or performing any testing. They have not provided data to back up their decision or justify the hours they claimed to have worked on the project. We had a 30-minute call, a 1-hour site meeting, and a 10-minute conversation during which they informed me that based on the report from the seller, none of the proposed construction was feasible. I tried to ask for explanation and none bothered to call me or answer to me
