********. If your warranty company sends this company out REFUSE this company. If you're thinking of calling this company, don't. This company tried to scam us on one of our rentals. After telling *** (American Home Shield) that our condenser fan was bad, they said also that the unit was low on refrigerant (freon). We were then approved for the "condenser" fan repair and scheduled for Monday, June 2. When we questioned Top Line about the freon, we were not given any specifics, but that the cleaning of the condenser, and the freon (at a rate of $200/lb!!) would come to between $1500 and $2000. Any leaks? we asked? Again, no specifics. We then said that we would source our own company for the refrigerant and service. Two days later, after having already gone through the *** review, approval, and scheduling process--and because we had refused their ridiculous upcharge for the refrigerant and service, apparently Top Line then submitted to *** a false report stating that the reason that the motor failed was because the condenser unit was filthy and because of our absolute neglect the motor was not a normal operational failure.thus voiding the warranty. Of course, we appealed this decision and requested a second opinion. This time I went along to the service call. A more trusted and reliable company did the evaluation and found the following: 1) The evaporator motor was bad 2) The split system condenser unit (located on the ground outside), while dirty, was not unusually dirty, and would not affect the evaporator motor, which is in the attic. 3) The evaporator coils were clean, normal 4) The refrigerant (freon) levels are perfect. This company is a scam company. Deliberately so. This is a shady company. I did some digging and have researched the primary for the company. There are numerous contracting businesses throughout this historymost have failed, many are suspended. Buyer Beware.
