I purchased a set of struts from these folks for my 2016 4 Runner lift gate. The first set lasted a few days. When I would lift the gate the struts would stick and the rear door would not open fully without help from me. I am 6'4" so I kept hitting my head on the lift gate because it would not open fully. I contacted support and they immediately sent a replacement pair. The replacement pair did the same thing as the first pair right out of the box. I contacted support again and they said there could be a problem with the lot they have from the Chinese Mfr.. They offered to send another brand but never did. I thought about contacting them again but decided I just wanted the problem solved and ordered a set from ****** which work great. I paid a bit more and am sorry I just didn't buy from ****** first since now I have paid for the struts twice, once to Lift Supports Depot and once to ******. So much for saving money. Very disappointed since the reviews of this company by others are all positive.

I've reviewed the email thread with our customer service team, and it looks like we were waiting for you to confirm if would accept a different brand. Since we never heard back, we assumed that the issue was resolved. Sometimes, the supports regulate after being cycled several times. Since you have already replaced them with OEM supports, we know that there is no need for replacements. Please reach out to our customer service team so we can correct this ASAP. Once again, I apologize for the issues you encountered.
