We apprecciate ****'s concern. Besides the attachment we did inquire as to details of how he cared for his habitat. There was no response. Think of grass seed. If you throw it on dry soil & do not water, ir will not grow. It is the same with out product. The batch of spawn which was shipped to home was tesyted and capable of producing ***** mushrooms.

I am rejecting this response because: They said that they sent me an attachment as to details of how he cared for the habitat. I didn't get the attachment. When I got the habitat from them, there were instructions in the box and I followed them.I did everything that I was suppose to do. Therefor I reject there response.

Complaint: 19534018
I am rejecting this response because:
This is the email I sent on Mar 15, 2022, 10:15?AM (which means it was already a year at this point)
I ordered 2 ***** mushroom kits last year that never grew.
[Order #*****] (March 3, 2021)
Their response Mar 15, 2022, 12:05?PM:
Thank you for your email.
***** come up in the late spring.
Thank you for your email.
We would not expect you to see morels in your Habitat until perhaps the end of May or beginning of June.
Thank you for you inquiry,
Even though your batch of ***** spawn is capable of producing ***** mushrooms,we are not too surprised to hear that the Habitat did not produce morels yet this year, it is not unusual for a Habitat to take two or more seasons to start producing. However, you may see morels by the end of this spring - end of June (often morels do not appear until the weeds are large and the grass is tall). The cooler and wetter a spring is, the later your morels will tend to come up. Even when trapped in your Habitat, morels are not easy to see.
We hope you turned in fresh biodegradable material as often as possible last summer and fall and continued to turn fresh biodegradable material into the soil (6 - 9" deep) of your HABITAT in the summer & fall as long as possible. Your kitchen waste (egg shells, potato skins, plate scrapings, and the like) should suffice; there is no reason to spend money on any other additives. Morels produce their mushrooms on soil, not compost, and they require fresh biodegradable material during the year. If you did not continue to add fresh biodegradable material to your Habitat, it is unlikely that it will produce morels.
Once your ***** Habitat has produced morels, it will usually produce them the next year at the same time(s) - give or take a week. However, local weather conditions will affect when your ***** Habitat produces morels. Even though you have your morels more or less trapped in a ***** Habitat where you can modify their environment to a certain extent (keep shaded, block out wind, and keep moist), your weather WILL affect if and when and where your ***** Habitat will produce morels. Check within a few - several yards of where you add fresh biodegradable material to your ***** Habitat for morels each spring & fall.
Customer's comments:
1. "I live in ***********, I bought a ***** mushroom habitat from you guys 2 years ago and it never grew any mushroom. But I never gave up on it.Today I found about a pound of morels in my yard and my neighbors yard."
2. "I planted one of these ***** kits years ago. and every spring i checked it,nothing! then in spring of 08, they were every where.I must have picked 4-5 gallons of them, right where i had put in my gardens."
Typically, only a few pounds of ***** mushrooms are found the first spring it produces; the next year provides the best crops, and crop sizes tend to vary in subsequent years; it may take two or more seasons to start producing. If you do not get any morels to start next spring - by the end of June, and if you think you have properly maintained your Habitat and the weather permitted your Habitat to produce mushrooms, please let us know.
Thank you,

Gourmet & Mushroom Products
We guarantee that, weather permitting; your ***** spawn is capable of producing ***** mushrooms in a properly managed ***** Habitat. The total number of mushrooms you can expect to get in each habitat may vary from year to year, and will depend on the care of your Habitat and environmental conditions. We test each batch of spawn. If we find that any batch of spawn is unable to produce ***** Mushrooms, we will send you new spawn free.
This means I started in 2021, not last year!
On Feb 21, 2023, 2:29?PM I asked you:
When does the guarantee kick in?
Your snarky response Feb 21, 2023, 3:16?PM:
When ***** Habitat has time to start producing.
I could tell you were bothered so on Feb 21, 2023, 4:20?PM I asked:
ok, please give me a date. I'll put it in my calendar. I'll refrain from contacting you until then.
You never responded. I've realized that you don't give firm definitive response about your "guarantee." As it stands now, it seems as if you want to say you guarantee your product without having to stand by any actual guarantee terms. (It's guaranteed to "possibly" work in an UNDISCLOSED amount of time.) There's no actual guarantee in the phrasing. You give no concrete terms to which you will be accountable for your product. This may be a common occurrence in with your business with customers wanting a definitive response to which there may be a variable to a degree. I suggest revising it so your customers know what to legitimately expect as well as politely responding to them. Give yourself a bit of a buffer even. That is why I asked for a date... twice. You would not have heard from me until after that date, only IF nothing grew. You may never have had to hear from me again!
I'm trying to feel satisfied as a customer, while helping you improve as well.
Your guarantee:
*Guarantee: We guarantee that, environment permitting; your ***** spawn is capable of producing ***** mushrooms in a properly managed ***** Habitat with proper environmental conditions. The total number of mushrooms you can expect to get in each habitat may vary from year to year, and will depend on the care of your Habitat and environmental conditions. We test each batch of spawn. The total number of mushrooms you can expect to get in each habitat may vary from year to year, and will depend on the care of your Habitat and environmental conditions. We test each batch of spawn. Morels typically begin to grow in 2-3 growing seasons. Due to the number of variables,we require 5 growing seasons to pass before we send you new spawn for free. We consider July 15 the end date for the growing season.
I followed the instructions and still have the printed ones that came with the product.

It is clear from your complaint that you started your ***** Habitat about ONE YEAR AGO. ***** season in ************* ** ***************************** so away.
