I looked up a phone number for Bitdefender ************ Directed me to this phone number. The IT claimed that Bitdefender wasn't the *********** needed to Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro for $400. I told them I could get it for a better price elsewhere & they went down to $199.99. They spent 3 Hours trying to calling me back, because I didn't want to give my password. The tech called when he was finished installing & was still remotely in my PC. He went into my email, clicked the email from their website & elected signed for me for them to withdraw the charge! I said I wasn't comfortable with that, but it was done anyway. When I said something didn't feel right, he showed my my operating system was now ******************* when I asked why not Windows 10 Pro like he said at the beginning of the call, I was given an explanation that they are the same thing. I know that isn't true & it wasn't what was agreed to. I called ACTUAL Bitdefender afterwards regarding my account & it was explained that they weren't who they said they were & I should take my PC somewhere because I was just scammed. I called one of the 888 numbers back that called me - he told me to turn off my PC - then wanted me to turn it back on. When I asked the name of their company- it threw him off guard, he pretended not to hear me clearly then at the 4th time he lied & said Bitdefender. I want a ************ my PC has been compromised. I think they should pay some type of compensation for me to undo the damage they've caused to my PC. Which is as slow as ever until I turned it off & have to leave it off until I figure out how to fix this.
