After speaking on the phone with **** ******************** on January ******* regarding a problem with the lock not working on my safe I emailed a copy of the original documentation that came with the safe that included full specifications and original pick list/delivery tag. Ms. ******************** had also requested a picture since the safe had brass hardware which I found odd but did send.Ms. **********'s brother concluded the lock had a loose wire and replaced it with a black lock because he did not have a brass one stating we could exchange it for the brass one after he ordered it. I found it odd he wasn't prepared since he had all information on the safe in advance. He then asked when leaving to take my lock with him to match the color. I told him I wanted it back but let him take it. In hindsight his taking it makes no sense. When I touched base with Ms. ******************** about when they would have the new lock and telling her about wanting the lock returned she checked and told me my lock had been thrown out.****** later they finally said they had the new lock but wanted me to buy it outright, not exchange it, stating I had misunderstood they were just talking about they weren't going to charge me to install the brass one. All you do is s**** it on where the old one was. What installation? I told them I felt like I was dealing with a bad mechanic with throwing out parts without authorization and having to buy extra parts but I did still need the other lock. Apparently they feel they did nothing wrong so concluded they won't "install" the brass lock and told me to look elsewhere.I warned I may file a complaint. There aren't many safe vendors, I plan outreach, but I shouldn't have to start over.I can't fit full documentation here because there aren't enough characters allowed. I had typed it all out dates and all in WORD in case there was an error in sending this and tried to paste it in here and I was over the limit. I've attached document as .pdf .
