One star is one too many. My 89 year old mother had a 2 month stay here that was supposed to be for rehab for a fall she had in a parking lot. She had a closed hip fracture. When she first got to the facility, she was in "observation."I think calling it observation is a joke because she was in a room by herself and the nursing staff whether that be a CNA or RN rarely came in to see her to check on her. I came as much as I could and found her breakfast tray still in room 4 hrs after it was served, noone tried to roll or move her resulting in pressure wounds that she is still suffering from 3 months later, a urine bag from her catheter full to the rim.She suffered several UTI's including MRSA near the end of her stay. She had a cough that took me 30 seconds to realize she had pneumonia and I had to hunt down a nurse to listen to her lungs.this RN came with no stethoscope in hand.Sure enough, she had pneumonia after finally getting a chest xray.If pneumonia wasn't enough, she contracted Covid and was again isolated and I couldn't visit her- I have to imagine she wasn't taken care of well at this time either. She managed to call me one night asking me if she should call the police because she was moved somewhere else and noone explained where or why she was being moved. She was scared because she was alone.Near end of stay she sat with a piccline in her arm to treat the MRSA for 14 days, and an additional 6 days since the phantom doctor that was supposed to be caring for her nver looked at lab results to render her bacteria growth free.Called insurance company and told them that my mom is being held hostage since I wasn't able take her home with a picc line in her arm.A couple hours later they discharged her, provided no equipment- my mother couldn't walk.Case wrker got mad enough at me to let us take walker otherwise would have no way to get her from the car to the house.I was billed 4 x for same thing on 3 different inv formats/letterhead trying to get paid multi x' s
