We engaged with **** ******** of Tax Resolution Group in September of 2024 to discuss taking on our Business as well as Personal Taxes and bookeeping due to problems with then Tax Preparation and ****************** vendor (technical issues with their portal, non-responsiveness, lack of timely attention to necessary promised services). **** took a look at our ****************************** the Accounting portal we were using and told us that the books didn't balance and that they would need to be redone. We have to date paid Tax Resolution Group over $12,000. and despite being promised back in October that they would do this on our timeline, they have yet to deliver anything but a simple tax return for a secondary project that wrapped up the trust after my father's death. While assuring us that they would be able to get our books recreated for the past 2 years and file on-time tax returns for both business and personal for 2024, we've yet to see results on any of this. Continued attempts to contact them result in a response only about 20% of the time, and response is for them to invent one more task for us to do "to keep things going." We have addressed every request for documents in a timely manner and then do not hear anything, and subsequent emails, messages, texts, calls go unanswered, or if eventual contact is made, it is to be told that yet one more thing must be provided to them in order to "keep things going." Every time we've reached the end of our rope with the lack of communicaiton and transparency, the owner of the business, ****, meets and reassures us we will have another meeting by x date, and then nothing happens, and they are again unresponsive for weeks, until they say they need another bank statement to "keep things going". That is the pattern.

    Business Response

    Date: 05/12/2025

At Tax Resolution Group, we take all client concerns seriously and are committed to providing clear, transparent, and quality service. We sincerely regret that this client feels their expectations have not been met and appreciate the opportunity to provide context and clarification.
    Background & Scope of Engagement:
In September 2024, this client engaged with us after experiencing issues with a previous accounting vendor. Upon initial review of the 2023 financial records, we identified significant discrepancies that rendered the books unusable for filing an accurate tax return. We advised that a full reconstruction of the books for both 2022 and 2023 would be necessary to proceed with business and personal filings for 2024.
    Communication & Timelines:
We acknowledge there have been gaps in our communication that fell short of our standards, particularly regarding responsiveness. However, we must emphasize that progress on a complex case such as thiswhere multiple years of financial data must be corrected, validated, and reconstructedis dependent on consistent document collection, review, and client collaboration. While the client has indeed provided many requested documents, there have been intermittent delays or missing items that paused workflow. In every instance, we have reached out with detailed follow-up requests aimed at moving the process forward.
    Progress to Date:
    • We successfully prepared and filed the trust return, which was a separate project and was delivered in a timely manner.
    • We completed work on reconstructing the bookkeeping for the clients business, which must be completed before accurate 2024 filings can be prepared. And her bookkeeping is up to date as of March 2025 as she was not aware of the 2025 Tax Year new bookkeeping charges.
    • Every new document request is directly tied to audit standards and necessary for compliance and accuracy.
    Commitment to Resolution:
We understand the clients earlier frustration and have taken clear, corrective action. We have since met directly with the client to address their concerns and provide a full status update. As of now, all necessary tax filings and bookkeeping deliverables within the scope of our engagement have been completed and delivered. We believe this resolves the matter in full and are available to clarify or support any remaining questions the client may have.
Should you have any immediate concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our team at ************ or ***********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************.  Thanks for letting us be of service.
