May the 15 2024 I contacted South Bay Mediation with my estrange spouse to go through the process of a divorce. **** ***** talked to us told us this process would be 6 months or less. I paid through Venmo May 15 ****** for my portion of services. I then filled out papers and on May 24 I paid 435. After the last paying **** went quite on me. I contacted him several times and he finally sent me papers on September 4, 2024 saying he was sick with COVID. He gave me other papers to fill out I filled them out with some issue with the document being locked, he responded September 16 2024 say just send him it anyways unsigned which I did. There was nothing from him. I started contacting him again asking what goin on. He finally contacted me January 27, *************************************************** more paper work to fill out. He went silent again, I started contacting him he finally responded in February 2019 that he has to hire someone to physically take the paperwork up to court house. He went silent again; after contacting him multiple times March 13 he claims he was hospitalized then sent me more paper to fill out. I signed them and sent back same day. March 14 stated spouse needed to sign. spouse signed. **** went quite again. I continued calling, emailing, leaving voice messages, and even his secretary left him a message. More time passed. Last week he told me he was giving ***** till today April 21 2025 to notarize papers. Today it was another excuse. We are going on a year come next month. I was told 6 month or less. There has been lack of communication, lack of rendering of services unless I hounded him.Ive filled out doc not him the divorce is still not done. I asked for a refund and he told me he was busy with other clients and I had to wait. I contacted estranged spouse and he showed me evidence that he was not told to notarize paper work. This is unacceptable. I should have asked MONTH AGO for a refund. So I want it now and I want other people to beware!

Business owner took my deposit for services, $1485, over charged me $900 for filing divorce paperwork, didnt refund me the full amount of the overcharge, never filed the divorce petition, didnt respond to inquiries and request from my former spouse and me, and is now blackmailing me to sign a non disclosure agreement in exchange for returning my money. Its been over nine months and were still not divorced, which will cause an impact on our taxes for the coming year.
