Contractor padded virtually all invoices. Invoices were confusing and this was not immediately obvious. Contractor charged me extra for such things as "had to hire another employee." Contractor submitted three fraudulent invoices for work I did not request and he did not perform. Invoices were dated September 3, submitted to me in early December, and were supposedly for work he claimed he did several months before that. When I refused to pay he filed a mechanical lien and said he was going to "raise the price" if I did not negotiate with him. Contractor sent questionable employees to my property both when my fiance and I were were here and when we were not. One time I flew to ********** from ******** for the express purpose of getting the contractor to fill his obligations since he had had thousands of dollars of ours for a year and had done almost nothing. Not only had he not done the promised work, but he and his employees had turned off the water to the house and filled our toilets with f**** -- in other words, multiple bowel movements -- and left it that way. House reeked and there was no water when I arrived at house weeks later. Contractor "apologized" for that but offered no compensation, and instead continued to bully and harrass my fiance and me. Contractor damaged, destroyed or stole much of my property but even after confronted never compensated me for any of it. For example, an employee lost his temper and destroyed a manzanita tree in our front yard after we had politely told him we wanted it in our landscape. Contractor was caught in multiple unauthorized short cuts, like trying to build a barbed wire fence across our front yard instead of around the property as agreed. Contractor tore out a deck at front door without my permission, forcing me to pay for that. Contractor created a dangerous cliff out of a hill by quarrying our dirt without permission. Contractor's employees were abusive. It is impossible to state all that he did in **** words.
