    Kofax inc. sells software to enterprises, and online to individual users. Individuals that purchase their power pdf and paperport products, will eventually find out that they are not eligible for any maintenance updates. I purchased version 4.0 many years ago. Maintenance update 4.2 is now available, for enterprise users, but not individual customers. They would sell me the new version 5.0, but all I want is to get my current product up to date, and note: No updates would be made available to V5 !When purchasing the individual product license, there is no mention that security updates and maintenance fixes would not be available for their products. I have the paperport product as well, and those updates would not be available either. I would strongly suggest that Kofax need to inform individual purchasing users that they only have *********************************************************** security updates will be provided after that time. What they buy is what they get. Most all companies provide maintenance releases for a product version. Kofax does not for individual purchasers, but does for enterprise customers. Users need to be made aware of this fact.
