Homes.com publishes extremely detailed information about properties, which include very specific details about my mortgage information. I realize a lot of this is public information being scraped from local record keepers offices, but homes.com shares information about my specific remaining mortgage balances, which is not public information. All other sites have standardized ways to opt out of having information published. I'm asking for homes.com to be a reputable organization and offer the same opt out services that their competitors do.

Thanks for reaching out. As previously advised by our customer support team, to address your concern about public records, you'll need to contact your local recorder's office directly. They are the official source of these records and can help you with redaction or removal of information.

I submitted a formal request to Homes.com asking for the removal or redaction of my Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from their website. This request was denied. Homes.com responded by stating that the data displayedincluding names, addresses, and other detailsis sourced from public records and therefore they are not responsible for its removal. They referred me to my local recorders office to have the records changed, despite the fact that they are actively publishing and financially ensentivised to display this ******* concern is that Homes.com is misusing PII by publishing not only names but also addresses, property values, and more in a manner that links individuals directly to specific locations and monetary worth. There is no apparent opt-out mechanism, and the company is refusing responsibility under the false premise that all publicly sourced data is exempt from privacy obligations.I believe this violates principles of consumer data protection. Even if the original data source is public, it becomes PII when aggregated and published in a searchable and indexable format.Furthermore, I suspect that Homes.com may be violating ****************************** rules which they apper to be leveraging, which often limit how certain datasuch as property ownership details or valuationscan be publicly displayed, especially once a listing has expired or sold.

I recieved a booklet in the mail stating that my house is sold. The booklet is full of colored pictures of my realestate agent and my home that marks my home as sold. My hous is not sold. It is listed and I think this company sent out fraudulent brochures stating false truths.

Requesting removal of my legal name and home address due to safety concerns. I work in government legal system and face legitimate security risks.Recent assassination of Minnesota lawmakers (June 14, 2025) shows real dangers - perpetrators used home addresses to target victims. Homes.com refuses removal requests, citing "public records." This is misleading - their commercial website profits from personal info while creating safety risks.Parent company ************ currently faces a lawsuit from multiple state AG offices for anti-competitive practices. Their removal process appears deliberately obstructive.

I signed up for a 6-month membership on May 5, 2025, paying $150 for the first month, with $150 scheduled monthly for the remaining five months. Seven days after signing up, I attempted to cancel. Despite my request, I received multiple calls and emails with a bullying tone referencing a contract I never received. When I attempted to access the contract, the link provided did not work.Eventually, I was told over the phone that my card would be charged $729 to pay the remaining 5 months upfront, and that a $150 credit would be issued for the first paymenteffectively paying in full for early cancellation. However, instead of canceling, they upgraded my account to a semi-annual membership, marked the charge as $729, credited $150, and set an auto-renewal date of 11/12/2025three days before a newly assigned cancellation date of 11/15/2025.Despite my clear communication that I was only agreeing to pay in full to avoid future charges and cancel immediately, they did not honor this. I also requested the auto-renewal be disabled, and was told it was just in case I wanted to reactivate. Meanwhile, I am unable to remove my credit card because it is tied to an active subscription. This situation reflects deceptive business practices and a lack of transparency. I am being forced into continued enrollment with auto-billing, despite fulfilling all financial obligations for the agreed term and explicitly requesting cancellation without renewal.

Homes.com is refusing to remove my personal information from their website. I have made three requests and they state that this information is public. The response I received was that I should contact my local public entity to request THEY remove my information and not Homes.com As a private website, they are using information from public government websites and making it easily searchable to anyone online. My county clerks website is not a ****** search result when my name is entered. However homes.com is using this public information for its private gain and making it easily searchable online. This poses a safety concern as I have reasons to keep my personal address private.
