      I am a customer at the ********************** facility located at ****************************************************************************************. I have two units that occupy my personal belongings. I have met and got to know *****, who, in my opinion, is NOT a nice person. I want to formally file a complaint against ***** and Dollar Self Storage. As a result of ****** continued behavior towards me, the excessive late fees and multiple rent increases. The financial mistreatment and homeless community discrimination that I have received from Dollar Self Storage and that I am still getting is unlawful and unethical. ***** has given instructions to the staff to practice discrimination against the homeless community by telling them to raise their H313632363135303***33H unit rent, which explains why my rent constantly increases. ***** also told the staff not to rent to homeless people. You can confirm these instructions from ***** with the current and past staff because they told me about it. It doesnt matter if they deny it due to fear of losing their jobs, God knows I am telling the truth, and they know I am telling the truth. Please understand I did not want to take this route, but my H313632363135303***33H rent has gone up again, twice this year alone and Im tired of being mistreated and taken advantage of. I recently received a notice from Dollar Self Storage informing me that my monthly rent for unit #*** will increase to $246 effective September 01, 2024. The first increase for 2024 happened in March, the monthly total for my two units went from $488.93 to $512.50. That is absurd! ***** needs to be stopped with his practice of discrimination against the homeless community and with his bullying and intimidating behavior. Please help me. I want my money refunded and ***** fired for intentionally practicing discrimination of any kind and for forcing his staff to increase the rent on certain units that belonged to homeless people and black people.

      Upon reading a storage unit at the said premises I was also required to pay them for insurance in case any damage should occur well I am a resident there. With the rainfall that occurred this past fall best selling had caved in. I brought it to the attention of the female who was the attendant in the office that day back in December 2022. I do not have a vehicle to be going every month to pay so I pay it over the internet. This unit went up from $150 to $200 within the shirt. That I was there so I decided to move out. When I started the move I noticed my box spring was damaged you can see it's in plastic and brand new. Other items were damaged but this was the main thing that I was angry about and wanted replaced as it was brand new! Now when I showed it to the management who was showing an occupant a unit she was acting so caring and concerned? But yet they want to deny having to replace something that was caused by their incompetence and not wanting to fix my unit ceiling when it was damaged by the weather!? I don't need to lie about anything they know what happened they're the ones lying to cover up because they don't want to pay out! It's a shame that we have to pay insurance but yet when stuff is damaged they won't pay out that's wrong and it's illegal! I'm going to make sure I put this on every social media to let them know how these people are Crooks and want to take your money for insurance but don't like to pay out when the damage is done! I want my reimbursement ! these people are dirty lowlifes and Crooks they might as well be drug addicts for the games they're playing! The proof is in *******'s own words as she said "they showed us pictures of the damaged ceiling" ,oh they had pictures of the damaged ceiling but yet they're denying replacing my item that was damaged while it was there on their property and I was paying insurance for it !!!!!I think I need to alert the news media as "*** Knows" he'll get to the bottom of this! As you can plainly see in the picture the water staying on the top and it's in plastic where it was brand new! The other picture showing the water spot on the floor and they have the nerve to deny and replace what was damaged while it was on their property !??dirty low life Crooks !!!!

      "On February 25, 2023, **************** reported water damage to her mattress.  Our manager could not assess the damaged mattress because **************** had already loaded the item into her car.  **************** emailed our on-site staff a picture of the item, stored in a plastic cover with a dark stain in one of the corners.  **************** stated in the complaint that "my box spring was damaged you can see it's plastic and brand new." We were trying to determine how the water, if any, got inside the box spring.  We kept the unit offline to monitor and investigate the possible water source.  On 2-28-23, our facilities manager assessed the roof and the insulation.  He saw no visual roof defects that could have caused water penetration.  He also inspected the tears in the insulation for any signs of water penetration.  The insulation was completely dry.  The tears in the insulation are most likely due to items stored too high, and when customers move their personal property, it causes rips/tears.  There were no signs of rust on the metal panels surrounding the unit or water stains on the floor.  The dark stain on the floor was from an oil stain which we cleaned when **************** vacated the storage unit.  On March 1, 2023, the property experienced heavy rainstorms and wind gusts.  Our staff inspected the unit the next day, and there were no signs of water in the unit, and the insulation was completely dry.  Our staff continued to check the unit after each rainstorm, and there was no water inside the storage space.  We re-rented the unit on March 11, 2023, and the new customer did not report any issues.  The protection plan customer purchased does not provide the same protection provided by an insurance policy and only applies to damages caused by Owner's negligence or for which Owner is otherwise liable under the law.  We performed our investigation and concluded there was no roof leak."
