The item in question was ordered through Amazon, sadly, it was supported by a third-party vendor and recognized by Amazon and returns are eligible. The item, a vanity desk, was ordered on June 28, 2024, and did not reach us until a week or so later. Upon opening the box, we discovered that the website description was inaccurate. I did not remove anything more from the box or unwrap more than a few pieces, where I identified some slight damage. I wanted to return the item and immediately submitted the return through Amazon as always and it was accepted on July 5th. However, when taking it to *** on July 6th, the agent told me that the shipping of the article was on me to return. The item weighs 103 pounds. Under the rules posted and uploaded on this complaint states I would be provided a return postage paid return label. After messages went back and forth on Amazon, to the vendor they offered to pay half of the shipping. I then reached out to Amazon that guarantees under the A -to Z return policies that it would be handled. Without looking at the history and timing, denied the claim. It was appealed and within the hour they denied the claim a second time without merit or facts. Claiming that I did not reach out within the 30 days of receipt, and that assessment is inaccurate and can easily be proved by Amazons website and the correspondence back and forth and the continued phone calls made thereafter. The vendor accepted the item back without denial, but the shipping criteria had not been met. Amazon is wrong by their response and decision and the vendor has not reached back out other than saying "I am sorry you are not happy with your vanity desk" where you can see the delays are frustrating and being delayed by both the vendor as well as Amazon and not me the customer. The solution I am seeking is a return authorization postage to return the item by the vendor and a full refund back to the method of payment used.
