    Greetings,I dropped off my car at Auto Pro Recons which is located at ***************************************** for minor repairs. They called me and charged me $1700 when it was supposed to be $1000. Then they wanted an extra $1700 for a $65 Center Console Lid.

    This is in response to the customer's complaint concerning the pricing.  We are perplexed by this complaint as customer was very much aware of the total contract price of $2,055.00 and never complained..   We were negotiating pricing - adding and eliminating services.  We reached an agreement of the services customer desired and he submitted a $500.00 deposit.  Upon completion of project, he paid the balance of $1,555.00 and left our shop content.  Never made one complaint until he submitted negative untruthful comments on Yelp and changed his comments 3 times.  Yelp acknowledged this activity and actually took it upon themselves to remove his comments entirely.  It is surprising that customer is actually seeking our services again, but we are apprehensive to provide our services to him.  Concerning the quote of $1700 for center console, we explained many times to customer that this price was for a complete new "entire" center console unit from the dealership.  We had no control over the price.  He simply chose not to proceed with this item due to the cost.  It is not accurate that he claimed  "we wanted an extra $1700" .  Never requested that amount  - it was just an estimate - per the Dealership, we could not just purchase the lid alone.  Apparently, he must have priced out lids on the internet to come up with the price of $65.
