    This business announced and advertised a Costa Rica Retreat for photographers. The announcement happened in 2022, the retreat was supposed to take place in 2023. This business charged 8+ photographers, myself included, for the retreat advertised, then proceeded to cancel and ghost every attendee. They broke their contract by removing all attendees from group chats. They falsely advertised a retreat, with very specific accommodations of which I will attach below. I have tried reaching out multiple times for a refund, no answer. This business is very active on social media and this business owes a lump of over $10,000 to all attendees they cancelled on. They post about how they are always booked and sold out of photography sessions, yet still do not respond to any of us to give us our refunds. This is extremely unethical for a business. We deserve our refunds.

    I am filing a claim against The Jekalo Collective to seek a refund of $585.00 for a prepaid photo session that was never given. On October 20th, 2022 I paid $585.00 via Venmo in advance, responding to *******'s indication that her prices were set to increase. Despite my commitment, ******* canceled the paid session, and subsequent attempts to reach her through various communication channels, including messenger, calls, texts, and emails, have been met with non-responsiveness. Despite my patience and understanding, *******'s unprofessionalism and failure to provide the agreed-upon services have led me to pursue this claim. I am seeking the full refund of $585.00 to resolve this matter and rectify the financial loss incurred due to the unfulfilled prepaid photo session. I do have documentation proving my claim is accurate.
