Improper denial of limited lifetime warranty. Link to warranty: ********************************************************** Bought TB-KP-G201 kneepads on Amazon based on advertised claims of superior manufacturing practices, durability, and their limited lifetime warranty. I have had several pairs, and straps start failing (stretching/tearing) after 1 month, with product become unusable after 6-8 months. Sewing/material strength of the strap is a known defect widely commented on in Amazon reviews by people who have used these more than a couple of months.I have previously had these replaced under warranty. However, the latest claim was improperly denied citing normal wear and tear, despite the issue being identical to previous claims that were not deemed wear and tear. If a product starts failing too early relative to other brands and/or what is implied in advertising, that is not ordinary. There is also nothing written in the warranty that would limit the number of replacements even if the initial defect persists. Company makes advertising claims that include RESISTANT AND DURABLE... save time and money on having to constantly buy replacements. This is an express warranty under the ************************* Act. Further, a well constructed knee pads should last at least 1-2 years. Thus, a reasonable consumer would not expect an item covered by a limited lifetime warranty and advertised as above to have a functional lifespan of essentially 6 months. If it does, in particular because of a known defect, it must be covered under both the implied warranty of merchantability and the companys express warranties.I would be satisfied with the following resolution: a replacement pair of knee pads along with a written promise to honor any further warranty claims should they be necessary because of this strap defect (or any other non ordinary wear-and-tear defect).
