On February 14th 2023, I went to Cal Custom Audio and Window Tint on ***************** in **************** To get my amplifier and subwoofer wired. I paid 450$ for them to simply wire the setup. This business is supposed to be good and reliable (based on reviews). On April 2nd 2024 the wiring that was purchased and installed from this business melted completely onto my battery, causing smoke to ****** from my trunk. 1. Making the wiring now unusable and a fire hazard. 2. Burning a hole into my battery (which is a fire hazard). Not once did the fuse on the wiring trip or shut off. If I had not noticed the smoke, the car would have been engulfed in flames. Today, April 4th 2024 I went to the shop to see if they could replace it. They offered to replace the wiring but not cover any of the labor or parts costs (As well as the 230$ battery I had to purchase after this happening). I proceeded to ask why they were not going to cover any of it and the employee began to become angry. Things escalated very quickly from there, I had stated If I knew that melting wires and causing fire hazards was a possibility I would have spent my money elsewhere. He then got into my face and began yelling profanities at me. From there I left and am now at a loss for the 450$ of the hacked wiring job they did AND the 230$ from the battery I needed to purchase because of it.
