  I recently had the pleasure of working with ***** and I cannot express enough how impressed I was with his top-notch service. From start to finish, he was committed to providing excellent service. The professionalism he provided was remarkable. He listened attentively to my thoughts and concerns and provided a detailed plan of action. His attention to detail gave me complete confidence in the process and put me at ease when it came to serious issues with my foundation. I wholeheartedly recommend ***** and Foundation Repair of CA.   We had a difficult and frustrating experience. We advise others to be very wary of working with this company. The day before the retrofit, ***** sent their site manager for a final check. Later that day, ***** called us saying that the site manager had banned anyone from going into our crawlspace, as all the insulation needed to be removed and theyd be willing to do it for a fee. They also said that the site manager had broken out in hives from being in our space. This was concerning; we had replaced the insulation based on FRoCAs recommendation a year ago, and had not been told that it needed to be removed+replaced after multiple site visits by FRoCA. Wed had multiple plumbing/electric contractors in our crawlspace, and didnt want to expose anyone to a hazardous environment. We called three separate inspection companies, and all came back with a clean bill of health. When we were ready to share the inspection reports with *****, they then said that they couldnt do the retrofit work as promised anyway, as their chosen materials were incompatible. We were surprised by this; ***** had done multiple checks, had their engineering team review, and then sent to the city to get approval and pull a permit. We asked how engineering had missed it, and FRoCA shrugged it off. We started looking for another contractor and asked for FRoCA to refund our deposit. They refused at first, and tried to convince us to keep them on retainer, citing the rising costs of materials. We declined, and ***** said that they would refund our deposit, but that we needed to pay the permit cost. We paid them for the permit, but in order to transfer the permit the local government needed the plans that were drawn as well. ***** refused, stating that the fee was technically only for the permit. We were really unhappy with this arrangement, as they pulled a permit based on plans that wouldnt work, and signed a permit release form that, without plans, couldnt be transferred, and cost us $900+.

  At first all things sounded great and the salesman was convincing and explained he was certain the job would go smoothly with no internal damage to my home.About two days after the lift, some significant cracks appeared on the interior walls. I called to request an inspection and a representative came out and explained that the cracks were generally a result of the lift. We agreed to a follow up in April 2023 to check the level of the foundation. I did not hear back from Foundation Repair of CA until May. Subsequently, I was supposed to receive a follow up call to schedule an appointment to check the foundation level. Im done waiting and am 100% dissatisfied with their work and customer service. Please heed my warning and find a reliable contractor. Ive only selected a few bad ones in my life and am always mad at myself when I choose a poor company.

My team member who was responsible for calling you regarding the follow ** in April had a family emergency that lead him to having to leave the company entirely. Still, there should have been some type of communication with you despite that. We are sorry about that. My team has been trying to reach you in order to clear up any loose ends such as checking the foundation level. We would love an opportunity to make sure our *********** your foundation problems.

  I contracted with Foundation Repair of CA in 2022 June to install 2 triple-safe sump pumps in the basement and another 2 sump pumps in the crawl space. I have provided full details of the project and an updated review on Yelp (*************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************(direct) ). From the time they scheduled till the final completion of the project 6 months later, it was a nightmare at every step of the way. 1) First their proposal involved taking down the whole frame of the room to install vapor barrier. It was not at all needed. 2) ******** didn't have a clue about how a triple-safe sump pump works - two pumps powered by electricity & a third powered by backup battery. They installed this backup pump 2.5 ft above floor level - which itself shows they didn't have a basic knowledge that a sump pump sits below floor level. 3) Then they didn't even provide the batteries, but called the project done. They blocked my driveway demanding that i pay the full amount saying that the project is "done" 4) They connected the pumps in such a weird way that pump-1 dumps water into pump-2, then pump-2 dumps that water into pump-3, and finally pump-3 discharges water into the yard. 5) One of the sump pumps in the crawl space was installed above floor level.. I just gave 5 glaring examples of their inefficiency. During many frustrating calls with them, one of their managers *******************, accidentally blurted out the truth that the project at my home was, I quote, "EDUCATIONAL" for them. So they used my home as a training facility for their crew and I paid their tuition. After persisting with documented proof about the poor quality of work and escalating to their exec team, they finally fixed all the problems. Now the sump pumps work very well. During the last winter's storms the pumps kept my basement dry. In summary, FRofCA's products are great, but their work is not.

I'm happy to hear that the sump pumps we installed helped keep your basement dry during the storms earlier this year, but I am not pleased to hear about the frustrations you detailed in your review. We had every intent to complete your project in a timely manner and without any delays or mistakes. It is clear that we didn't provide that level of service for you. We are so sorry. Like your review talks about how we were able to repair the situation towards the end, we always want to have the opportunity to repair problems that occur during our projects. We don't leave our customers behind. We hope for more rain later this year and for the continued effectiveness of the sump pumps that we installed for you.   Foundation Repair of CA installed underpinning on our house because we were having issues with walls cracking that they said would be addressed by the underpinning. We paid a ridiculous fee to have their engineers do an assessment of our house to confirm the placement of the piers. Then we waited 6 months before remodeling the rooms affected by the house shifting. 6 months later, new cracks began to appear in our newly remodeled bathroom. Then, they quickly spread to the rest of the house. We called Foundation Repair of CA and they said they would send someone to do an assessment, although it had to be scheduled several months out. They sent a skeezy guy who made me feel unsafe (which is a whole other story!) and failed to ever give us an assessment afterwards. Over the last four months we have called and emailed them again and again, but have not received any response. We had an independent assessment and found that underpinning was not the solution to our issue at all. Our house is built on clay **** that was swelling with rain and contracting in drought, due to drainage issues. We contacted Foundation Repair of CA with this information, but they have continued to ghost us. Our guess is that they knew this all along but were just happy to take our money. Evil. Avoid them at all costs.

I originally saw your review on our Yelp page under the name "**************" I'd like to first begin by letting you know that we have tried to figure out what project you are referring to. A representative from the Better Business Bureau verified with you that you did have proof that your husband had signed a contract with **, but we are unable to find out what project this is referring to based on your name alone. We would love to try to remedy this situation, but we can't without knowing who we are talking to. If there is someone at our company that you have been in contact with that hasn't been responding to you, I would like to know who that person is so we can get to the bottom of this. If there was someone who made you feel unsafe, I would like to understand better what happened and why you feel that way so we can make sure something like that doesn't happen again. We don't have any engineers who work directly for our company. If there was an engineer tied to your project, it was a third-party that you chose to sign with. We tried to reach you through Yelp, but you clicked the button that told Yelp that you didn't want to be contacted by anybody. Our goal is to help homeowner's repair and protect their homes, so we ask you to give us a chance to make good on that goal. Thank you for your time.

  Hi ******, We sincerely apologize for your experience. The original scope of work for your project was unable to be performed per plan as some products were unable to achieve the minimum depth requirements set by your engineer. The soil conditions of your property were unforeseen and plans are subject to change once we start installing due to property conditions. As for your project, we did have engineering's inspector on site inspecting the work to ensure everything was being installed per their requirements. Unfortunately, the fact that we did not achieve the minimum depth requirements on a portion of your project was never brought to our attention until it was time for engineering to sign off on your project for your final inspection. The county will not sign off on a permit without engineering's approval. Your engineer has proposed an alternative solution with additional work that they are requiring in order to sign off on the project and unfortunately, it is a large change in scope but we do not have control over this. We have gone back and forth with the engineers to try to come to an alternative solution, but unfortunately, the one that you were presented with was the only thing they would agree to.
