On or about May 1st, 2021. I had *** Bradford come out to install my Nest Thermostat. *** came out and removed the plate on my existing thermostat and showed me that there was only 3 wires and the Nest Thermostat needed 4 wires. *** told me the only way for this to work is to run new wire to the unit. I then asked him about the weal airflow in my house. I told him that it heated and cooled the house but not as good as I thought it should be. He asked to see my unit so I showed him. My unit was a 2.5 ton unit and about 10 years old. *** looked at it and said that it needed to be replaced due to some rusting issues. He said He would install a better unit and Guaranteed it would fix the low airflow problem. I was referred to *** from a good friend so I agreed to these terms.About May 21, 2021 *** came out and installed the new unit and my Nest Thermostat. I wasn't home for the testing of the unit before he left. When I got home I told *** it blew a little harder, but not much. He said to give it some time. Well winter came, The heater would only come on for 5 minutes and shut off. *** came out and said that everything was working outside, retightened up some wires and said try that. I had *** come out 2 more times to fix this. *** then told me about my existing transition was crooked and might be cutting off the air flow. *** said that I would have to cut an access hole in my closet so he could get under the house. Now I am finding out that he NEVER went under the house. I couldn't use my heater all winter. I had to get space heaters. Electric bill higher than normal. Spring came. I cut an access hole and then he gave me a $1.500 estimate to replace my ducts. He didn't install a new sheet metal transition or new thermostat wire. *** said to have another company come out. I had 2 companies come out and they couldn't figure out why he put a 3.5 ton unit in a ***** sf house without putting in a bigger intake and replacing the existing ductwork!

      Hello ******,

Your message is a little hard to follow, please call our office.

We discussed the ducting issue's that  we found while replacing your HVAC unit. Unfortunately the ducting issue's we found could not be seen until the old unit was removed. We presented you with some options to fix the ducting at that time. If you'd like to discus those options further please call our office.

Ask for *** or *********, we'd be happy to break down what we found and what we recommend to repair the pre-existing issues our team found under your house.

      Thank you!

I have finally received and read the company's response.  I completely disagree with everything that he has said.  When I brought this to ***'s attention, he keeps telling me that he only sold me a unit.  If *** reads his contract, he can see that he didn't fulfill his agreement to me.  *** didn't install a new metal transition piece or a new Thermostat Line.  He told me to contact another contractor, I would see that what he is saying is true.  Well, it was just the opposite.  In fact, they were the ones to point out that *** had Never been under the house.  If he had, he would have seen the problems. Ducts not connected to the metal transition piece and the thermostat was the same one that he told me wouldn't work with my NEST Thermostat.  Somehow, now, he got it to work without the new wire.  I was told that the installed unit was being suffocated and needed to be corrected or it would burn up the new unit.  I told them that it has already been there over a year.  They shook their head and wrote up the estimate that I attached earlier.  When I got the 2 estimates to him!  He has told me that he has years of experience, and the 3 1/2-ton unit was perfect for my 1,343-sf house.  I was told that this unit was pushing as hard as it could, but not completely at full capacity.  Also, the air ducts to the Metal Transition piece were barely attached.  *** told me he did his job correctly and I needed to pay for the duct work.

Now!  Currently, I have attached a new proposal to get my unit working better than it is now.  Well, they found that he used the old metal transition piece, and it was cutting off 2/3 of the air flow to and from.  This was also causing the unit and house to vibrate (which *** said was normal with the York unit).  I called the office and spoke to *******************  She said she was getting the contract out and was going to speak to *******  She said she was going to call me back.  I waited until the end of the day and called her back since I hadn't heard back.  Then she said the phone was ringing and that was the call she was waiting for. She would call me right back.  That Friday, October 21st.  I called her yesterday, October 27th twice to follow up.  She told me that *** assured her he was going to call me, and he wasn't avoiding me.  Here it is Friday, October 28th and I haven't heard from either one.

************** to contact me to get this corrected.  I really want my New Heater working for this Winter that hasn't worked at all since installation of May 2021.

I have called Bradford Air and Heating and spoke to ********* 3 times.  She told me that *** was going to call me, and he wasn't avoiding me.  Well I tried calling and talking to him and *******************  Neither one will adhere to the contract that *** wrote me and that I paid for.  Any help you can do here will be greatly appreciated.

      Thank you and warm regards,
