Requested service from subject business to do the following 3 items below on my Masters Bathroom. Work was started by J*** ****** (owner of business) , phone number 805 743 3306 on Friday , February 28, 2025. Replace old toilet with new one Replace old tub faucet with new one Replace old shower faucet with new one. As of today, Monday, 3 March 2025 @ 6:04 PM PST, work is not completed. Pls see pictures. On 2/28/2025 @ 2:37 PM PST, Juan came to the house and inspected the Kohler parts I ordered online thru Home Depot. He then started removing the old parts from the tub , then the shower and the toilet in that sequence. After he removed the parts he then started to work on installing the new toilet but said that he needed to go to Home Depot to get a coil to put on the bottom of the new toilet. However , I mentioned to him to look at the box of the new toilet to check if the parts he needed were there and there was the coil for the toilet. After he installed the toilet, he mentioned he needed to put caulking to seal the toilet bottom so it does not move. I expected him to have caulking on hand as a plumber but he said he did not have one. Then I asked about why the tub faucet and shower faucet were still not installed. He mentioned that he needed to buy a part at Home Depot because he needed to have the knobs to fit both the old tub and shower faucets. The existing Kohler parts according to him will not fit into the existing old pipe. He brought with him the Kohler parts as mentioned below in (bold) to show to Home Depot store. He mentioned that he will call us on Saturday at 12:00 PM to come to the house at 1:00 PM PST to continue to work. I have mentioned that we will be here and will await his call. Asked him that if he buy the parts to ensure to keep receipts so I can reimburse him. At 1:28 PM , I texted him reminding him what he had promised that he will complete work in the bathroom as promised the day before. Did not get any reply. So just waited. Sunday came. Called him again reminding him about work at my address. He mentioned that he was going to call back as soon as he is done since he brought his son at the hospital. No call back again. Monday came (March 3, 2025). I called him at 8:40 PST and left him a message to call me back at my land line. No call back received from him. AT 10:08 AM PST, I left him a text message “Pls let me know what your plan is of unfinished work at 1132 Arguello Ct, Lompoc. Request you please complete work today, else I need you to return the parts you took with you last Friday 2/28/2025. Thank you. Evelyn” . Waited the whole day for a call or text feedback but received none. As per agreed prior to work, he was supposed to be paid $50 per hour, the next hour is $40 and that he will finish the work in 2 hours. He started work at 2:28 PM PST and ended work at 5:31 PM PST. I paid him cash money of $104.00 since he does not accept Venmo or other electronic forms of payment. I explained to him that that is the only cash money I have due to the estimate he gave me and that I will provide him what I owed once he return work for additional work. I also gave him another cash of $5 for the parts and will reimburse the next day when he comes back with the receipt.
