This review is for SF Enterprises @ ***************************************. *****. Lack of transparency, theres hidden fees; unfair, unethical, shady business transactions. I shipped 2 barrels to my son in law in ***** with this company in the latter part of last year and it was seamless. I sent a 3rd barrel on 3/11/24 again to my son in law. The shipment got there on 4/16/24 but the company withheld releasing it claiming that the consignees name on the form, *************************, is not the name on his ID, which is Metui Vaiokema Tukuafu. SF Enterprises wants me to pay $50 for consignee name change plus $10 every day for storage fees before the barrel can be released. Heres my complaint; I was never told when I paid for the barrel that the Tonga Customs Law has changed requiring the consignees exact ID name or the barrel will be withheld. 2) I was never told theres a $50 fee incurred for a consignee name change plus storage fees if the name on the form is not the full name on the consignees ID. 3) The consignee, *************************, is the same person whos been picking up the 2 barrels previously sent, then why is SF Enterprises withholding this 3rd barrel as if hes not who he is? 4) In the fine print, it says that incorrect names will require further penalties. Im penalized to pay $50 for name change plus storage fees, but the name ************************* is NOT incorrect. That is the consignees name albeit incomplete because it doesnt have the middle name, but its not incorrect. I called SF Enterprises multiple times to resolve this dispute, that they should release the barrel and waive the fees, but they wouldnt hear me. They should have been transparent from the beginning. I asked to speak with the company manager but they had me wait 20 minutes saying shes on the phone/on conference/busy, etc but never gave me the name so I can file it on the complaint. When I told them I have rights as a customer to know who they are, the woman I talked with hung up on me.
