On November 30, 2022, I moved out a storage unit at the aforementioned facility. At the time of renting, the facility did not disclose any information about a rodent or pest infestation problem, nor did they make me aware of any potential health hazards within the unit. Upon inspecting my items after I moved them out of the unit, I discovered that they were severely damaged due to rodent feces, which was scattered across my belongings. This is a clear indication of a major rodent infestation that the storage facility should have been addressing.I had purchased insurance to cover any potential loss or damage. However, what I am now being charged for is a **$200 cleaning fee** for leaving the unit with my items. The items were not left in a "trashed" state, but were ruined by the rodent infestation that the facility failed to manage and disclose. This is a **serious health violation**, as the infestation could have posed significant health risks to my personal property and myself, especially with the exposure to rodent ******** is clear to me that the storage facility is attempting to shift blame onto tenants for issues they themselves have failed to address. Rather than dealing with their ongoing pest infestation problem, they are trying to collect fees from tenants for damage caused by their negligence. This behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional.I am requesting that the **Better Business Bureau** assist me in resolving this issue. Specifically, I am seeking:1. A cancellation of the **$200 cleaning fee**, which is unwarranted and unjust, given the circumstances.2. A full investigation into the ongoing rodent and pest infestation problem at the facility, as it affects the health and safety of the tenants and their belongings. I appreciate any assistance you can provide in ensuring that this matter is handled fairly and that proper actions are taken to rectify the situation.Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.Sincerely, ***** *********
