As a breast cancer survivor who underwent a mastectomy and chemotherapy last summer, I purchased three bras and a pair of ***** brand prostheses from Siloette (*****************************************************) in August 2024 based on my doctor's referral. I have diligently followed the care instructions, never sleeping in them or placing them in the dryer. Despite proper care, after only eight months of use, the edges of the prostheses began to tear and leak silicone last week. I contacted Siloette, the shop where I purchased the prostheses, explained the situation, and sent photographs of the damage, hoping for a replacement. The following day, Siloette informed me that they would not provide a replacement. They stated that they have sold thousands of similar products without prior complaints and alleged that the damage must have resulted from misuse, such as sleeping in them or using a dryer, which I never did. They offered to place a new order for $275 each, totaling $550, which would be an out-of-pocket expense as the shop is no longer covered by my insurance. This response is deeply disappointing, as I believe the prostheses should still be under warranty. I am frustrated that I did not receive the expected replacement and am now faced with the unwelcome option of paying $550 to alleviate my distress. Therefore, my request to both Siloette and ***** is to provide a replacement pair of prostheses of the same brand and size, as the original purchase should be within the warranty period. I am willing to provide the receipt and any other necessary information.

Hi, Please close complaint case #********, which I filed in May. The business owner resolved the issue by offering a free replacement before they were aware of this complaint. There were some miscommunications earlier. I am now completely satisfied with their service. Thank you for following up!
