Benjamin Koo is very unprofessional person. He will yell at you and be hostile when he makes errors and will not even offer discussing the issue. His firm had filed my taxes incorrectly for 3 years, resulting in penalties of over $1,600. The only reason this came to light is because my accountant at the firm changed and the new accountant brought it to my attention. The firm offered to pay less than half the penalty by distributing it for service over 3 years. This was supposed to be my last year to collect tax filing services (value of $300). When I checked in, the accountant I had just been working with left. Benjamin Koo (the owner) told me that he will now file my taxes. Once I sent my information, he noticed I hadnt paid for service for the past 2 years. I explained to him the situation and he responded he was shocked I was charged a low amount (which is irrelevant) and to provide evidence. I sent him the written email of my agreement with his former associate and he responds this is totally unreasonable and unacceptable. I asked if his associate never discussed this and gave him the history of how his firm filed incorrectly for several years, and had it not been a switch in accountants within his own firm, I couldve still been incurring penalties. He ignores me at this point. I call him and he is hostile and raising his voice the entire time making outrageous statements. He hangs up on me twice. He yells at me you like to hear yourself talk?! repeatedly and I calmly try to engage with him which he is not capable of. He gives me the former accountants contact and tells me not to call him again. Luckily, the former accountant responded and confirmed to Benjamin of the firms error. Benjamin has not followed up with me since with an apology or any option to work this out. Please do not take your business here. You are risking having your taxes filed incorrectly and an unprofessional person not taking any accountability and berating you for his error.
