A deeply toxic, discriminatory, dishonest, immature business. I recently tried to hire their services. I asked up front if they had experience with autistic clients; they assured me they do. I was then contacted and when I asked how I was doing, I mentioned I was having a bad day because yet another autistic person was murdered by police. Suddenly, my messages stop going through. I emailed one of the co-owners who led me to believe the other was having phone issues and they'd get back to me. I didn't believe it, so a friend texted the person who was silent, and sure enough, he replied. They flat out lied to me rather than do the professional, mature adult thing of admitting they had an issue with me. I brought these issues up, and was told we could start over. I said that was fine, but going forward, I expect honest and ethical conduct and for this not to happen again. Then I was told oh no, they refuse to see me as a client. This is both disability discrimination and retaliation for assertion of rights. I told them I'd gladly drop legal action if they admitted to their egregious conduct and made a commitment to do doing better. Once again, this offer was rejected. Simply put, acting like, shallow queens was more important to them than legal compliance, reconciliation, accountability, or being decent, empathetic human beings. If you have been a victim of their unethical conduct like me of Best Man Matchmaking, by either *************************** (the ghoster) or *************************, you are not alone. Feel free to contact ADA.gov and the ********** ************************ ******* wants to be a therapist; I've preemptively contacted the *********** of therapists that his application should be denied for disability discrimination if he ever applies. Just know that you did nothing wrong, and I promise, it gets better. One day, we will live in a world free of autism discrimination.
