      This office verified that my insurance covered an eye exam for lasik surgery before I visited them. After the exam, they sent me to collections with a bill of $175.

      I had call the office at 2 different locations twice before to make sure that the doctor does the tear dye test and tear duct surgery. And the office had confirmed that the doctor does that specific test and surgery. I showed up on the visit. And it wasnt toward the end the the visit, I found out the doctor ****** do the tear dye test and no longer does that surgery. No only did they wasted my time going to the doctor. They also charged me for the office visit and wont consider working with me for discount given they had gave me the wrong information from the start. I feel like I was wronged and tricked into going in for the office visit by them lying to me about the type of procedures the office provides.

      I have been a patient of EWEI for over 20 years, have been very pleased and have given positive reviews up until this point. Apparently their business model has changed dramatically at my expense, and likely at the expense of other patient's. I received an eye exam for contact lenses in June of 2022, when I tried to purchase lenses through both CVS and ****** using the prescription the numbers didn't match **. ** other words, lenses were not available consistent with the prescription. These are the steps I followed:

      12/23/22 spoke with *** in Optical, he assured me he would have someone call me back about the issue, no call back.
      12/29/22 left message for Optical to call me back, no call back.
      12/30/22 left message for Office Manager *******, no call back.
      1/2/23 left message on EWEI website, no response.
      1/3/23 spoke with ******* (he answered the phone), he said he would research and call me back, no call back.

      Based on this history it should be clear why I am leaving **** and why other patient's should be concerned.
