AXS-based venues Fonda Theatre and Shrine Auditorium criminally and repeatedly violate California Business and Professions Code ***** and *****, FALSE ADVERTISING, with refusal to change their advertising. On January 31, 2025, I went to Fonda Theatre's box office to buy a ticket for an event at ***************************** on March 21, 2025. Fonda Theatre sells tickets for **************. When I was to pay $36 for this event, they refused to accepted cash AS STATED ON THEIR WEBSITE, and the employee LIED saying they don't accept cash when an event is occurring at Fonda Theatre. I was refused a ticket because I was paying with cash, even though their website and Shrine Auditorium explicitly state they accept cash at their box offices. On January 11, 2025, I successfully, and without issue, bought a ticket for El Rey Theater for January 22, 2025, in $89 cash, in direct contrast to what this employee stated 20 days later in the same calendar month. This is not the only time these AXS venues discriminated against source of income/payment and lied.On June 13, 2024, I went to *****************'s box office to buy a ticket for an event at their venue for August 10, 2024. They refused to accept $47.50 in cash in direct contrast to what their website advertises. Because this would've been my only possible chance of buying a ticket for under $50 for this event that rarely had available tickets, this coerced me into paying with my credit card since I wouldn't have been able to get a ticket otherwise. This happened in early 2023 at ****** when I went to buy 2 tickets for $99 total for an event at their venue on March 10, 2023. They refused cash as repeatedly stated on their website & this caused a huge burden with my friend also trying to get a ticket since digital money had to be transferred to buy in direct violation of their advertisement.Fonda also falsely advertised in early 2024 for a March 2024 event, making me have to buy in card, saying cash's only allowed on day of show.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

We are writing to you to get help regarding the unfortunate and stressful experience at the Fonda Theatre bar, on Saturday, Oct 22nd, during a show. As drinks were ordered at the bar, we noticed the wrong total charge amount on their merchant screen, we inquired from the bartender, who was extremely ********** and busy ******** many people at the same time, about the details of the order. She ******* our request. We noticed that the bill is unusually high and does not make any sense. As we inquired from her again about the details and a receipt, she was shouting go ahead sign and you will the receipt *************** this was quite ********** we were in the middle of the show and we ordered the exact same two beers from another bartender at the same bar that night which came to a total of ******* We mentioned the error on the previous transaction that came to a total of $ ******* and he said you have to talk to the bar manager on Monday, which we did. After many attempts to talk to the bar manager, fianlly we spoke to **** We explained the issue, and he noticed the error in charging our card and mixing ******* and water drinks with our beer order and he referred us to another party. As of today, We have not heard back as we filed a complaint with their customer service and now request that BBB kinldy help us get the difference in charge of ****** back to the card ending in **** from this company.
