I purchased a website from AWC and I do not have access to it. When I type in my web address on my browser, someone else webpage comes up. I was told that my website is down because the hosting had expired and I need to renew my subscription. I dont want to renew with AWC because my website went down before the year ended and they said I had to pay for some plugins that needed to be updated every 4 years. This was not told to me in the beginning plus I only had my website for a little over a year. They have been up charging me from day one. They are holding my website data hostage and they are trying to force me to use them to host my website. I was told if I pay a one time fee of $99 they would have their development team send me my website zip files along with the database. I have no received anything from them. After I paid I was told that I had to pay an additional $300 to activate the hosting for them to give me my website information. I have emails and text messages from them stating from one person one thing and another person something totally different. I just want my website and ALL its content that I paid for.Initial Complaint

Company Name : American Web Coders Their Address : *************************************************************************** My issue with American web coders is that they are refusing to refund my money , after they could not fulfill my order. I made an oder for a website build WICH is 100 percent money back guarantee if I wasn't satisfied! And I WAS very disappointed and dis satisfied! it was horrible all ****** like accents.. 4 different project managers, scam like excuses , saying first project manager ********************* wife had cancer, second project manager was sick ***************** and then went on vacation, CINARIA- next one left the company. I contracted with American Web Coders to redesign my website on February 1 of this year. On April 17th, I called and said I had waited long enough, that I wanted my website up and running. In the meantime, they contacted me and said I needed to upgrade my hosting services and should sign on with them for hosting. I said I was not interested. I have BlueHost and have been very happy with their service and did not need to change.AWC did not re-design my website, they created a whole new site (not on my website). This was not what I wanted. I planned to keep my old site, it just needed an upgrade. Now they refuse to upload their work onto my Blue Host site, and I don't know how to do it. I feel like this is a bait and switch deal. I did not sign on for a new site or a new hosting service. It feels like my site is being held for ******. Also, the contract states that the cost would be $750. I paid $430 to have my website completed I was working with project manager **** they were working to customize my website I was given a final deadline for the website to be completed on 4/16 a week before the due date I received a text message saying that **** got promoted and ** was the new project manager I asked ** for eta on project she told me 16th as well I tried to contact ** on Thursday confirming the due date and since they aren't open on Sunday was this correct I got no response I called company on Monday spoke with ***** said she was going to check and see what was going on and get back to me A hour and half went by didn't hear anything so I called back only to be transferred to supervisor **** said he was going to get to bottom of things and speak to **** and see what was going on **** called me and explained she no longer worked there and she didn't know what was going on why would they transfer me to a person no longer with the company I keep getting the run around and when I ask for a resolution nobody is willing to help I'm being told somebody will contact me shortly I want my website or my money back it's not right trusting someone with your money and ideas and they play the ping pong game or act as if they don't know what's going on I did my part they should hold up to their end and not try and get overInitial Complaint

On March 22, 2023 I pay for ********************** for Ecommerce. I paid $ 715 I spoke to *********************** ( Sr. ******** Analyst ) He told me only that amount comes with everything on the package. After I paid that amount he set up a phone call between me and *********************** ( digital ******** Consultant ) that call when with ***** asking I have to purchase more things enable to run and design the online ******** he asking me to pay $ ***** more and that moment I regret it. I went back to ****** and asking for refund because I didn't expect I have to pay more and I only want to spend that $715 which he promise that's all and the package is everything. He promised me on March 28, 2023 to process a refund and will take 7 days. I did reach out today 4/11/2023, I haven't get any refund yet and no one reaching back to me. Client Opted for a shopify website to be built and paid the amount of $715 to which the Business Consultant ************************ that the website should be built on custom WordPress or PHP for which the estimated cost quoted was $2000 but again that was just a suggestion put forward from our end. When Miss ****** did not approve the Platform upgrade our designer created a homepage mock up which was sent to the client and since then we have not got any feedback or update on the project.

This is the worst company I have dealt with in my life!!No professionalism and very useless coders who ignore the customer's requiremnts for their website. They issued me a contract and they are not adhering to as up to 3 months after i should have gotten my website i am still not in recipt of it.I shopped around for a web developer to build my site on a theme I had already purchased. Out of everyone, they said they could do it and charged me $550. I paid them the money and collected a site about 5 weeks later. Upon interacting with the site i realized that it was hard coded and not built on the theme i provided (which was the only reason i selected them for the job...because they said they could do it). I was presented a website which i had no idea how to maintain as I am not a programmer . I raised this issue and they claimed they would redo my website. I began getting excuses one behind the other for delays and missed deadlines. After many calls , messages and emails they presentrd me something that looked nothing like a website...it was simply a webpage filled with pictures and no functionalies and looking very poorly done. I rejected it and requested my money back as this was not what I ordered and we were now also way beyond the initial 3 weeks projected completion date...(i contracted them in January and this was now March...15 weeks later.Since then, they have been giving me the runaround and refusing to answer my emails.To be honest I believe these ppl are scammers...they don't adhere to what they are contractually obligated to do and string customers along without any end in site.I screenshots and emails to support the terms of engagement, continued apologies for delays and their statement that they will refund me...only now they are stringing me along and I need my money to pay another developer to create my website so I can finally start my dropshipping business.Initial Complaint

My issues with American Web Coders began last you on August 22nd 2022. Original Invoice # ********-1 Was told I would be charged Promotional price $349 for ************* with a 100% money back if you're not satisfied with the quality of the work and/or do not wish to continue with American Web Coders in case of dissatisfaction. Lastly, I will be attaching copies of email and all documents I have exchange with them thought out this ordeal that also confirms that I am not liable to pay any extra or re-occurring fee, unless already specified, for the features mentioned.As of today I have been charged a total of $1200 and they are still trying to charge more money and the site is not even up and running at this point. We have been going through this for months and I continue to tell them to stop charging me because I for one, have been misled on the price as well as I'm not satisfied with the work that has been completed by American Web Coders up to this point. I was simply trying to have a website created for my Non-profit and it has now become way over price, and way over the planned budget. And the board members and myself have agreed we no longer want to continue working with American Web Coders and request ALL of our money be returned. We have included copies of conversations, invoices, and supporting information pertaining to the companies business practices. Your help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
