    I own a property in ********************* where I wanted to build a multi-family project with as many units as possible. I needed a local Architect that could get the job done so I hired an Architect named ******* Dern of DERN Architecture + Development located in *********, **. ******* said he had the architectural and development experience and skills to get the entitlement job done, and that he would be my "trusted advisor" in the entitlement process, so I hired him. This Complaint is about my very bad experience I went through working with ******* Dern over a long period of time. If I had to summarize my Complaint in two sentences, I'd tell the Better Business Bureau: I hired ******* Dern the self-proclaimed experienced and skilled Architect, who also claimed he would be my trusted advisor to get my property entitled, but unfortunately, ******* failed miserably at getting my property entitled. *******'s failure to get my property entitled caused me to suffer massive financial damages only to see him walk away with thousands of my hard-earned dollars after failing to do what he promised he would do. I hope the Better Business Bureau can help me get back to the same financial position I was in before I hired ******* Dern. When ******* recently quit and abandoned my project, I asked him for a full refund so I could afford to pay a new Architect to do the job he failed to do, but he said no. Therefore, I hereby request that the Better Business Bureau request ******* Dern give me a refund in full.
