Roughly July of 2025, I bought two Sketcher slip on shoes which I wear occasionally. One set has developed tears in the heel of both shoes that are obviously poor quality of materials. I took them to the store and the clerk offered no solutions. I'm very dissatisfied as Sketchers was considered a quality brand. Obviously a cheap product.Business Response

I recently placed an order in which my phone automatically filled in the address but it was the wrong city and state. When I discovered this I contacted customer service to get an address correction. I was told they could not do this, which is not true. *** has the option to both correct addresses and intercept packages and I was given a link to do so myself. I was unsuccessful because I was told I would have to contact the sender to do so, which I already had done. So now some lucky person will be getting a free pair of shoes. And before I get a response that Im sorry we cant correct the address *** informed me that you can. I would like a refund.Business Response

Two and half + months ago I ordered a pair of men's slip-ins Sketchers online & paid in full w/ my credit card. I had just returned a pair that were too small, got a refund, and then reordered a larger size (10.5). I've written 5x to Sketchers website and gotten no response. I also never received a confirmation email from Sketchers on this purchase so have no order#. I want my shoes or a refund.Business Response

I received an email offering 20% of my first purchase. The email gave an online code as well as an in-store bar code to use.The cashier never scanned my phone, but scanned a code behind the counter to give me 10% off. When I stated it was 20% he said it was online only. I went home and read over the email carefully and no where does it state online only, just that it had to be my first purchase (and it was, the cashier entered my info while standing there). My coupon code numbers are also different than the one on my receipt for 10%. I contacted their customer service who claims the same. I have attached my receipt as well as the email to show it does not state online only. You have to scroll to the bottom of the email to see the "in store" code to use. I have the customer service email chain as well. I feel this issue is not just a store issue, but a company issue since they do the promotions.. I am only looking for the $7.50 discount bringing my discount to the 20% that my coupon is for.Initial Complaint

I bought 2 shoes from Skechers store on 6/15/2024 for my 6 years old kid for her school. She started going to school from 1st week of August,2024. Within 2-3 months of use the strap of both the shoes developed split ends which I firmly believe poor workmanship resulted in defective product. That caused the shoes unwearable. I tried to return it to store but they refused. I reached out to Skechers support via ******************************* on 12/08/2024. Sent them pictures, shoes info and everything they asked for. Then they sent me pre-paid envelope to return the shoe and ZERO communication from Skechers after they received my return. I followed up two times no response. This is called stealing. After I mentioned in the email that I am going to report this to BBB, immediately got response as if Skechers was dodging my emails for all that ******* the response they mentioned that no refund will be issued as this is normal wear and tear. If skechers is proud of making shoes that can last only 3 months of wear and tear (this is actually a poor workmanship resulted in poor quality shoes) and I will very gladly let my friends and family know about my experience with these shoes so that they can make better decision about buying shoes from different brand and avoid Skechers at all cost.Business Response

Purchased Skechers boots 12-8-24 and wore them for short period of time before itchy rash around ankles appeared with elevated bumps on the skin. After a few days of not wearing the boots, the rash began to heal. Wore the boots again on 12-14-24 and experienced the same allergic reaction to the boots. Researching the rash it appears to be allergic contact dermatitis that can be caused by synthetic materials used in constructing the boots. I have never had a rash like that before and am frustrated that I am unable to wear the boots without suffering the same allergic response. Because it only has happened with wearing the boots, a refund seems to be the only solution as I am unable to wear the boots. I contacted the company and they suggested that I contact the store where I purchased them but am doubtful that they will be willing to refund the money.Business Response

I went to your ************ store at 6pm, December 28, 2024 to purchase two pairs of sneakers. Your staff member took the shoes out the boxes to check them, so I asked her to bag up the shoes and keep the boxes. She refused to service me because I did not want to take the shoe boxes out the store. She said it's required as proof of purchase even though the enter wall going into the store is glass. I responded with isn't that what the receipt is for. She became rude and belligerent towards me, the other employee just walked away. She responded rudely, got a really nasty attitude with me, then accused me of being argumentative and said she has nothing more to say to me. I responded by stating so your resorting to fabricating a situation all because I asked for you not to put the shoes back in the boxes. As I begin to leave she then wished me a bad night. I stated all this because I won't take the boxes. That's when I asked for the manger of the store, she refused. Then said she's the manger and told me any other manager would tell me the same thing. I asked a few times but she continued to be dishonest. She did not want me to share her bad, unsolicited behavior. She again stated she was the manger. I told her I'm a long time customer and it has never been an issue with any store I buy something from when I ask to bag the merchandise without boxes.Skechers only have five job requirements for ***************** 1) Be ***** to deliver top-notch customer service in an entry-level retail ******* Driven to meet and exceed retail sales goals. 3) Excitement to represent the Skechers brand with energy, enthusiasm and a sense of urgency! This employee failed to meet three of the five requirements to maintain employment as a sales associate. Skechers is growing and has a positive brand, thus far. I have a video of the interaction as security or to post online but my question is, does she represent the Skechers brand or are you now making too much money to care anymore?Business Response

I purchased a several pairs of Skechers shoes at my local Skechers store inside the ************ this past September 2, 2024. Overall, I have been happy with my purchase as the easy slip-on design is something I need due my restricted ability to bend down to tie shoelaces. One of the shoes is defective in that the sole detached from the rest of the shoe (see picture attached). I called the store manager where I purchased the shoes to request a replacement pair. He said he cannot do this unless instructed by Skechers customer service department, and that I must call them to initiate the process. He gave me the phone number to call directly. I called and spoke with a representative. She emailed me instructions for me to return the shoes to Skechers quality assurance department where they would in turn inspect the shoes to determine if they are defective, and they would then notify me of their findings. Not sure if they would replace the defective shoes, refund my money, or what. The email received from Skechers states Typically, we suggest working with the original place of purchase towards a replacement or credit. Usually they are able to assist on the spot and send any defective items to our ***************************** So, why can I not just bring the shoes back to the store where I purchased them and get the matter resolved there and then without making me jump through hoops for something so simple???Having dealt with cases of defective merchandise purchased from other companies, the standard policy of most is to stand behind their product and to assure customer satisfaction by typically exchanging the defective item or refunding my money on the spot. I find it most disappointing that Skechers does not subscribe to this professional business standard. It causes me to never again want to purchase their products and to let the rest of the world know how little Skechers cares about maintaining a good relationship with their customers.Business Response

I have bought over 6 pairs of sketchers the past few years. The quality of these shoes are beyond horrible. Your lucky to get 8-10 months out of them. You can guarantee the glue on the front tip and sides of the shoe will always separate before the tread is even worn!! NO, I do not want another pair! It's just sad how these company's don't care about quality anymore, it's all about the money. What a shame! Your not the only company!!Business Response
