    I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding an unauthorized charge on my bank account. On June 20, 2024, a debit charge of $94.00 was made, with the description "POS Purchase Non-PIN ********************** PREMIUM - 2400."I have taken the following steps to investigate this charge:I have searched my email accounts for any confirmation or receipt from SciSpace.I have reviewed my online banking activity for any additional details about the transaction.Despite these efforts, I have been unable to confirm that I authorized this charge. I do not recall subscribing to any premium services from SciSpace. Perhaps there was a free trial offer that was automatically converted into a paid subscription without my explicit consent or notification. I do not recall authorizing the conversion to a paid subscription.I request the Better Business Bureau's assistance in resolving this matter. Specifically, I would like:To identify the company or entity associated with the charge "SCISPACE PREMIUM."To understand why this charge was made to my account without my **************** obtain a full refund for the unauthorized charge of $******** confirm that no additional charges were made to my ********** ensure that no further unauthorized charges are made to my account.

    Last March, I subscribed to the SciSpace Premium Plan for one month on the SCISPACE website(**********************************). The website did not provide any explicit notice/pop-up informing me that it would auto-renew. It wasnt until today that I discovered my credit card had been charged $20 USD per month for the Premium Plan over 13 consecutive months. However, I did not use the websites services for 12 of those months, meaning I was overcharged for $240 USD.I immediately contacted customer service to request a refund, but the representative behaved like a robot, sending me repetitive messages before finally stating they would refund at most one months feethen they stopped responding whatever I sent to them. This made me feel extremely disrespected.I do not accept the websites resolution for the following reasons:1. When I subscribed, the page only displayed the monthly cost and did not inform me about auto-renewal, so I was unaware of this policy.2. I did not use any of the websites services over the past year, so I should not be obligated to pay for them.3. Throughout the entire year of continuous charges, the website never sent me any email reminders, which violates users right to be informed.I hope the BBB can assist me in obtaining a full refund of the $240 charged for the Premium Plan.

    Date of the transaction: January 11, 2025 Amount paid: $144.00 USD What the business committed to provide:SciSpace committed to providing access to their subscription-based services. However, I did not explicitly authorize the renewal of my subscription.Nature of the dispute:SciSpace renewed my subscription without my consent, and I was not informed or given an option to opt out. Their cancellation policy was not clearly visible on their website, and I was not notified in advance about the upcoming charge. When I contacted customer support for a refund, they refused, citing a non-refundable policy that was not transparently communicated beforehand.Attempts to resolve the issue:I reached out to SciSpace support regarding the unauthorized renewal and requested a refund. However, they declined my request, stating that their policy does not allow refunds. This lack of flexibility and transparency in handling subscriptions is frustrating.Impact and requested resolution:I am requesting a refund for the unauthorized charge. This experience has negatively impacted my trust in their business practices and will affect my decision to subscribe to any of their products in the future. If the company values customer satisfaction and its reputation, they should reconsider their approach to renewals and refund requests.

    In Nov 2023, I found typeset.io which claims to provide online service, then I found their actual service is so different from what the website claimed, then on Nov 27 2023, i immediately requested a cancellation. (see the attachment) I also followed up with the request again (see the attachment) but failed again. in this month, when reviewing my credit card statement, i was surprised to find this merchant has been consecutively charging me for 6 months (6 transactions) even though the 1st one was approved, the rest 5 should never be charged, i requested refund, and there is "****** " who reached out to me claiming he will proceed with the refund, (see attachment) but he never responded to me again. the merchant also rejected my credit card dispute by erroneously claiming "the customer (me) has never requested cancellation" which is definitely false. As a result , I am requesting a total of $100 refund from the merchant.
