I have been using Lifesafer since July of 2024 and I have had nothing but problems with overcharging and not being able to contact customer service. They give you a quote and do not honor it whatsoever. In November my vehicle caught fire and I was told I owe $250 for the deductible. I then called Lifesafer and had the conversation recorded of the quote to install on another vehicle and was told $183 for installation and $59 biweekly. After installation Im told I owe them over $500 not including the installation fee which I paid the shop directly. When I finally got in contact with them they said they would send it to get evaluated. I paid a total of $180 in the first month which by what I was quoted should have left a balance of $190. I had the device calibrated today and the shop gave me a bill which added another $155 to the bill making the balance now $535. Over $300 of what I actually owe. Lifesafer finally called me and stated they overcharged for one month and credited it to my account and stated my bill is now four hundred and some odd dollars. I tried to explain to him that is still no where near correct and asked to explain. He could only tell me its for 60 days of service and now $267 for the deductible from the device I lost in vehicle fire. Where are these 60 days of service coming from in the last 30 days which Ive already paid for? I asked where the money went Ive sent in the last month went then and he had no answer and just stated basically that is what you owe us. It is a complete scam where they just make up random numbers and tell customers they have to pay. I specifically asked when I recorded this phone conversation if they had any hidden fees and the lady who quoted me insisted there was not.

this is a monopoly. I made a bad choice and have payed for my mistakes. 1 of which is a breathalyzer for 2 years in my car. during the choosing company process lifesafer sold me a ton of lies. they constantly said they would be available with customer service ************* out there". There was someone calling me every day about installation but now that i have installed it for over 6 months you cannot get a hold of anyone. There have 2 specific occasions where i need to reach out to customer service both times on phone waiting for over 6 hours with no answer while i was stranded by side of road. client online chat portal also not working. once i ate a meatball grinder and failed breath test other time defective product and lost a day of work, a tow and 2 Ubers. still no answer on phone call or online customer service. They are currently reviewing reimbursement for ****. Mind you it's a work van for my company.I was lied to over the customer service as well as their abilities to be present for any and all issues I may incur with the device.

I am trying to terminate my service, but they are holding me hostage. You can't reach anyone to deactivate and schedule a de-installation of the device. I have tried a week straight, everyday 3-4 hours each. I was trying the online chat as well simultaneously and never reached anyone. This is inexcusable as the additional ongoing services I am being subject to are expensive and accruing.

I have an interlock device on my truck, and within 10 days of getting it recalibrated they locked me out making my truck unable to start. I am missing work due to this, and there is no reason for it. I am very upset with the fact that it is interfering with my ability to make it to work.

I have been using ignition interlock device in my car since August 2022. I have experienced a defected device and now am suffering from its consequences financially and mentally. I wasted so much time trying to get a hold of this business, and when I got into contact with them they are simply ignoring the issue. I have been told that the device was "acting up" by a store technician, and been told that I need to contact billing department to request a refund.I emailed the request to the scam system and been told it is not device fault but my fault which is impossible. Because Ignition interlock defects the alcohol in your system and if you pass the vehicle starts. However, I have been sober since August 2022 and been using the same device since.I have been accused of failing the alcohol test, been given fake result, now charged for extra fees, and possibly extended use time of Ignition interlock device!!!! I feel like they are scamming to have customers for a long time.
