    As of March of 2022 I have been dealing with this pet food company regarding the food I keep receiving for my dog who has bad allergies. Every batch I have purchased as of March has looked different, the texture, and the color. I use this food everyday, and know what it is supposed to look like. There is definitely something different with the food. It is supposed to look like a solid type pate'. It is canned dog food. The name is Essence Limited Ingredient Ocean Recipe. They have several distributors around the US. I have tried to purchase from different distributors thinking maybe it was one in particular. It turns out that any batches made after the July 2022 batch expiration have all been like this. I contact them with photos alerting them to this. They say that nothing has changed with this food at all. I have photos to show how it looks now, and what it is supposed to look like. It took them 3 months, and a bad review to send me back my money, and 4 new cases of food from a different batch. When I opened the food that they sent me directly, it was even worse than the others. It was complete mush consistency, and and even different color. Still they tell me there is no change to the formula at all, and that it is ok to feed my dog. I went with what they had said, and my dog had gotten diarrhea. My other dog got to some of it, and had runny stools as well. This food needs to be pulled from the shelves. I feel the company is lying, and that the formula has changed. They cannot explain to me why the food looks different, and the texture is different. It is against the law to not notify the consumer if changes are made. As animals are consuming this. I am sickened by this because my dog has limited things she can eat, and they refuse to acknowledge there is a problem here. Not many people use this food, as it is very limited ingredient. Which is why no one else may have complained yet, so they say. I will be filing a report with the FDA as well. Photos attached.

We had multiple encounters with this customer through email and phone call, that resulted in us refunding her past purchases in amount of $255.48 and sending complimentary cases of cans. ************************* was very concerned about the changes in the formula, but per our manufacturing team the formula was never changes. I attached full conversation with this customer for your review. Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2022/08/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This response from them showing our conversation is not a resolution to them having food out there that is different than the usual food they sell. They need to inform the public that they changed their recipe. Or remove this food. This is different and inedible for the animals!
