I am filing a complaint against Car Audio City for overcharging, deceptive pricing, failure to honor warranty terms, poor workmanship, and lack of transparency. I spent over $2,500 between January and May and was sold faulty, incompatible equipment, pressured into unnecessary replacements, and misled repeatedly.Timeline of Issues:Jan 2425: Paid $150 for speaker install. Was charged an extra $100 because my car was not compatible.Apr 29: A speaker failed. Paid $100 to replace it on the spot instead of waiting weeks.May 5: The amp failed due to wrong speakers they installed (wrong ohms). Was charged $300 out of pocket and pushed into new speakers I didnt want. Charged $699 via Acima, which they later lowered to $299 after I showed online they were worth only $200.May 30: Replacement amp failed again. Was told warranty wouldnt apply. An employee admitted they just return items to manufacturers and dont investigate root issues.Concerns:I paid for their mistakes and was never given proper receipts or breakdowns.Warranty terms were vague, never honored, and no paperwork was provided. Was placed on multiple Acima plans with unclear *************** provided was lower quality and never properly explained.I was treated disrespectfully and manipulated into overpaying.Desired Resolution:A full refund of $2,561 (Acima charges, out-of-pocket, and unwanted speakers).Receipts and documents explaining what was installed, what was returned, and why warranties were denied.A full breakdown of all costs and explanation of pricing.Investigation into their misleading business practices.I have receipts (though illegible), photos, messages, and online price comparisons. Ready to provide all documentation. I was treated disrespectfully, misled constantly, and pressured into paying more while being made to feel like they were doing me a favor. My car system still sounds terrible and is not what I wanted or paid for.
