I engaged Inside Car Guys to assist in purchasing a 2020 BMW and subsequently bought a Vehicle Service Agreement (Warranty) for the vehicle. Recently, I discovered from BMW that this warranty was unnecessary and promptly requested a refund for the remaining balance of the agreement. In accordance with the warranty's cancellation clause, I contacted them in April 2024 by sending an email notice to Johnny and a certified letter to Inside Car Guys' registered agent, Marcus Martin. However, I have not received any response from them thus far.
Subsequently, I filed a lawsuit in San Diego Superior Court. On June 18th, the Court dispatched copies of the Complaint and Notice of Hearing to Inside Car Guys via certified mail. According to USPS tracking, the certified mail has been held at the post office since June 20th, with no indication of it being picked up as of July 9th.

I purchased a 2001 Honda Accord w/219K+ miles on it for what I thought was $4K (already above Blue Book). I paid $3K in cash and financed the remaining $1K. Printer wasn't working properly so I didn't receive a copy of the paperwork I signed on the computer. Went to pay off the $1k and discovered the balance owed was $3808.57 making the price for the car almost $7K! The car had to be jump started, which they said was because it was sitting for so long. We were verbally offered $100 towards a new battery if it was needed. A battery WAS needed, but when we called re the $100 they promised, they reneged that offer. The radio didn't work, the remote didn't open 2 doors & the rod that holds the hood snapped off.. after being assured it had no mechanical issues & ran smoothly. I discussed the dispute of the purchase price w/M***** ******, and when I said I needed to talk w/my attorney, he said to "f*** ***". I'm a F/T college student working P/T and was totally taken advantage of by Inside Car Guys. I was asked to take down my honest review, as well as my parents' reviews, of our experience and when I refused, they threatened that they'd "contact the FBI for cybercrime extortion". We were about to come to a settlement agreement, until my attorney read the agreement and they added in a non-disclosure clause.

Was interested a car they had put a $500 on the car over phone. Decided to not buy because high evidence battery in hybrid was bad after I paid have inspection done. They refused to refund me deposit and were extreme rude. And did not tell me about their no deposit refund policy at the time when I paid them. I learned by some automated receipt which was actually some agreement that wasn't fully completed by them or signed. So not even valid. CA law states car deposits are refundable up to 10days. They threaten to sue me not sure on what after said I would file a depute with my credit card company This company are thefts stay away.

I hired Inside Car Guys to assist me with purchasing a fairly rare car for a $1k fee. Dealing with Johnny & Wilson was very frustrating, after a month and a half they never found anything on their own. I provided them with 13 different cars, they couldn't manage to contact anyone in a timely manner. I lost chances at multiple cars. They would take about four days before claiming they had contacted them then before any negotiations started the car was gone. You would think it should only take a day or two to work out a number with a private party, or a dealer. They showed no knowledge of the market.
Finally, I wrote a nasty letter, and got some action. I demanded they get something done on the last three cars remaining. They came back with prices for two of the cars. I contacted the two owners, I discovered Inside Car Guys where double dipping me, offering the cars owners $2k to $3k less than they claimed was being agreed upon with me! They also said there would be additional charges for inspections and other fees. The sort of thing may be legal (?), but not ethical!! I had to do the deal on my own without Inside Car Guys. Save your money and don't used these thefts!!! If all car brokers work like this, no one should ever use one!!!
USING INSIDE CAR GUYS COST ME $1k, FOR NOTHING. IF I HAD STAYED WITH THEM. IT WOULD HAVE COST ANOTHER $3K. RUN AWAY!!!
