    I have been a customer of Lloyds Plumbing for over 25 years, but have not had need of their services for the last several years. During that time, obviously there has either been a change in management, or simply a change in philosophy as to the way they conduct business. I have NEVER disputed a bill and have found them fair, HONEST and equitable every time I had used them in the past. That is, until I asked them to come out and perform a simple remove and replacement of a standard, floor mounted, electric 50 gallon water heater. Shortly after arriving, their technician informed me that water heaters "during this Covid era, especially electric water heaters, have dramatically increased in price" he told me over a "65% increase in price which is why the removal and reinstall would cost over $3,400"! In fact after they removed my water heater, pressured me into signing a computer screen, I checked on line and the same electric water heater I was interested in having them install was only $599. I have since canceled the order BEFORE installation and contracted with Lowes for $1,400 to do the same job with the same unit. Now I received a bill from Lloyds for a $600 removal and the balance of $3,600 for a unit which has NOT even been installed!! If you're counting, they expect me to pay them $4,000 which is $400 more than the original overly exorbitant proposed cost for the entire job. As of now, I intend on paying them a fair market rate for removing and disposing of my original water heater and ignoring the remaining $3,600 bill for that work which was NOT PERFORMED as I cancelled this job before they returned the next day. Im so disappointed that LLOYD's plumbing has adopted such a shady and disreputable way of doing business and I will NEVER use them again. I called them when they opened for business the (next) day that they were supposed to install the unit, and cancelled the job personally. I urge anyone reading this to avoid Lloyd's plumbing at ALL costs.
