    Two weeks ago I received a quote from Coast to Coast Movers to move two storage units from ******, ** to ******, **. The Quote was ~$10k. I gave them a $2,900 deposit that day. The Coast to Coast people I worked with seemed very thorough and we spent a lot of time on the phone talking about the process. We were very excited to get our things that have been stored for a year.The next step was that someone would call me today (3 to 4 days before the pick-up of our things) to confirm everything. Today I got a call and was advised that I needed to pay ~$6k MORE because the cubic foot calculations they originally estimated was supposedly wrong. Here we are at the 11th hour and I am told if I go with the original Quote, they will not deliver all of our belongings AND, by the way, if I cancelled now, they will keep the $3k deposit I gave them two weeks ago.This is a scam - don't know how else to describe it. I was so impressed with my first two meetings with them. We even discussed the fact that I want to get the price as close as possible so there aren't any "hidden" or "extra" charges. I was assured their Quote would be very close.We cancelled and will now have to find a way to get our $3k back. Unbelievable.

    We don't have any customers with this name and this situation happened before because of similar company names.We are coast to coast long distance moving company *** and this is a family owned business ,we are not brokers.Our jobs also start in ** ,we don't start jobs in other states. We always provide a contract and the customer should have the confirmation email of his job with a unique code for him and also the physical paperwork we give in any job we have made. This review is not referring to our company and is damaging our buisness
