I retained ***************** of Orr Forensic Accounting to represent me in my protracted family law dispute in 2020. Upon paying ***** a $10,000 retainer, not hearing from ***** until a mandatory settlement conference months later in Fall 2020. ***** showed up disoriented, asking for an additional $3,000 (which I reluctantly paid), admitted to not having spent an hour on the case, but his "associates" had data inputed what documentation we had already provided. His unfamiliarity was evident to all parties. ***** did not know what he was supposed to be representing. During 2021, ***** did not respond to any calls or emails from June until September despite repeated attempts via email, calls and texts. It should be noted that there was no money owed to his firm. Only with the threat of turning him into the ******************************* did I hear back from *****, wherein he told me "you caught me at a bad time in my personal life." I requested my money back, however ***** begged me to give him a second chance and allow for a peer review of his work at his expense. An incomplete peer review was initially performed, however in subsequent questioning, ***** changed his reports more than five times due to miscalculations, oversights and blatant errors. Moreover, ***** did not show up for two meetings we had that he scheduled in his own office. *****'s unavailability for over half the year and his unreliable reports led to additional time, money and grief. During Zoom calls, ***** appeared incoherent and slurring, leading my attorney to refuse to accept his work product or himself as a reliable expert witness. At a subsequent mandatory settlement conference in Fall 2022, ***** again did not show up and instead sent an associate. Knowing that I could not count on *****, I settled a case that I was clearly in the right, only to avoid more time and money. I have never dealt with such a dishonest service professional in my career. Be warned. Avoid him at all costs.

    Dear ****************,

Subject: Response to Your Complaint with the Better Business Bureau

I am writing in response to the complaint you filed with the Better Business Bureau concerning our engagement on your protracted family law dispute. I understand that the situation has left you feeling dissatisfied, and I would like to take this opportunity to clarify the points you raised.

    1. **Retainer Amount and Representation**: The retainer for our services was $5,000, not $10,000, as detailed in the attached invoice and engagement letter. We strive to provide the utmost professional service, and I personally attended to the mandatory settlement conference in Fall 2020 to help with the complex financial issues. Your description of my disorientation and lack of preparation does not reflect the detailed work and preparation that was put into your case.

    2. **Communication**: I acknowledge that there may have been delays in communication during the year 2021. While I regret any inconvenience this has caused, I assure you that we maintained due diligence with the case and provided the services for which we were retained.

    3. **Peer Review and Reports**: Your comments regarding the peer review and changes in reports are not accurate. I personally paid for a similar forensic accountant to review my work, who agreed with my analysis 100%. Any amendments made to the reports were in response to the natural development of litigation.

    4. **Meetings and *********************************** Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances led to my absence in two meetings and required my partner to attend the subsequent mandatory settlement conference in my stead. I was under subpoena on another matter, and I trusted my partner with over 10 years of experience to adequately represent you.

    5. **Payment and Outstanding Invoices**: Your comments regarding dishonesty and unreliability are deeply concerning. I have provided itemized invoices that show the time incurred and services provided. As per our records, you owe our firm $8,060, and I request that this amount be settled in accordance with our agreement.

    6. **Further Cooperation with Your Attorney**: I want to stress that your attorney continues to engage my services for other matters. This relationship contradicts the statements made about my incoherence and reliability.

In conclusion, I strive to provide the highest level of service and integrity in all my professional engagements. While I understand that we have a disagreement regarding the handling of your case, I believe that the facts and documents support our position. I invite you to discuss this matter further so we may address your concerns and find a satisfactory resolution.

Please feel free to contact my assistant, ****** (information below), to schedule a time to speak.

    Sincerely,

    *****************
