In August 2022 I purchased a 1996 LQ Horse trailer from an acquaintance, sight unseen and I then contacted All American trailers Inc to have the trailer picked up and transported to their facility to have the trailer thoroughly gone through, for safety and living capabilities, to enable me to transport my horses from Canada to Palm Springs, early November 2022, so that when the work was completed and I could have the trailer brought to the Border for customs clearance etc.
I gave them a budge of $10,000 to work with. Numerous phone calls between us, as I wanted video's etc to see how it was coming along, and finally Sept 14th, I got a copy via email of inv #***** for $14,486.05. This was $4.5K higher than the allotted amount but I felt that if the trailer was up to standard, I would just accept that as I was getting closer to departure time and needed the trailer here in Canada.
A hauler was found and I picked up the trailer in Bellingham on October 15th, cleared it and came home to Delta. That night it rained and when I went inside the trailer the complete bed area was flooded with water. I was charged $1100 for a complete Roof reseal. They did a Living quarters annual service for $465.00 but none of the appliances worked. The mother board was fried and none of the electrical units worked as well as their were leaks in the propane system and no hookup. There was no seal around the door and the door latches did not work. Lights that were said to be installed we not.
I took the trailer immediately to Sealand and had those repairs to make it road worthy. That cost ($2,032.80)
I have sent correspondence Nov 18th, Dec 11th, Dec 29th and and drove to their facility in January where I had a meeting with Jason, who assured me that he would issue a refund for what I had to pay to affect those repairs, I charged for but not done. Numerous phone calls, which he will not return and emails also remain unanswered.
