    On April 6th 2024 I entered into a weekly car rental agreement with Discount Car Rental, the contract stated that I was fully insured and the vehicles registration was valid. The car was towed after a month of me renting the vehicle. Discount car rental said I was at fault due to no parking signs and kept my ****** deposit. I continued to rent the car for an additional 3 months and was pulled over by the police due to the fact that the vehicle hasnt been registered since 2022 and never had any insurance policy attached to the rental. When I confronted the owner he assured me that the vehicle was registered and insured and to only show my rental contract to law enforcement and Hat would be sufficient. Five days later I was again pulled over and told that the car had no registration or insurance. I called the rental company and asked for proof of insurance so that I know Im not a liability. He refused. On June 24, 2024 in between 3-5pm he came and took the car without notice with my personal belongings inside, computer, studio monitors, clothes, wallet with ****** in cash. I called him immediately and he acted as if he had no clue what happened to the car. Finally he told me ha took the car and confiscated my belongings. I never got my belongings back and was over charged the entire time I rented the car. I would like to be compensated for my loss in money I was fraudulently charged. As well as my personal belongings that were in the car when he illegally took the car from my possession.

    On December 30, 2022 I rented a vehicle from Discount auto rental. The agreement was $20/day for 7 days. Plus taxes and a $350 deposit, I paid approximately $550 cash.Day one the car worked fine. Day two (new years Eve) while attempting to stop at an intersection going about 35-40mph, the brakes gave out! I was TERRIFIED! I was repeatedly pumping the brakes and it took a miracle to stop. I called the owner expressing my concern and was told to bring the car in. With no brakes. But ok, I manage to drive ******************, in the rain back to the rental place. He then told me to take it to his friends to get it fixed. Ensuring me he had NO other cars to give me, (my request) I was forced to take this car or go somewhere else to rent a car. Considering the fact it was 4:30 pm on New Year's Eve, my options were take it, or be stuck with no car in the rain on New Years Eve. So here we are again, ******************, in the rain. I make it to the mechanic and sat there for 4 hours while they repaired the vehicle. Now it's 8:30 pm on ***. Aggravated and feeling ripped off, I left the vehicle at home and caught a ride with a friend. The following day, I arrived to the vehicle and attempted to start it but to no avail. I'm unsure if the battery died or what the issue is, I just know I've NEVER rented a vehicle that has needed service TWICE IN 3 DAYS. I sent a message to the owner expressing my concerns and made him aware that I was no longer interested in the vehicle and if he has a tow person to pick it up? His response was beyond disrespectful. He replied that I will have a lawsuit filed And that he will ruin me. I'm afraid because he has my credit card information. I left a one star review and began receiving harassing phone calls which I have recorded. Countless threats and disrespect is not how you handle a unsatisfied customer. I don't know what to do. Please help. I just want a refund.
