8/22/24 ************ appears to do a lot of stalling when a potential customer demands a refund on their deposit ($1,000.00).The company was paid but no work was done. I called them to see what was going on, there was no time for waiting months and months, the rains were coming. Their rep *** told me me that supply companies ************ did not have supplies. He also told me that I needed to contact a roofing specialist. I recall seeing their company advertising roofing work. Why do I need to keep calling contractors if they don't or can't do the work? The property also needed more work done (house is over 95 years of age).It turns out that when I went to the building supply stores that there was plenty of supplies to start the job immediately. Rep. *** tried to meet with me but the time frames interfered with my medical appointments. Other contractors made offers to do the work, some were clearly fraudulent/deceptive in their practices; intending to use leftover materials and/or using multiple business names.I thought I found another contractor, ready to start; major rains were coming 2022 into 2023, work had to be done ASAP. They started before I realized it. I called Triple AAA for a refund, spoke to *******, she said she would look into what is going on. I waited months then called again, same response, back to waiting. Meanwhile, some work was done by other contractor, legal and illegal. Informed other contractor about Triple AAA, later contractor informed me that he spoke to *** about cancelling the prior contract, described ***'s office. Meanwhile, and afterward in 2023, a complaint was filed with the *************************** So far no response (former assistant D.A.'s ran against him in last election). ******* was calm when I mentioned notifying the police about Triple AAA keeping my money. Is the delay being used to generate bank interest income for no work instead of returning all of it to me certified check?
