TV Station *** referred me to you. I purchased twenty seven ($60 ea.) paper Bart Tickets through deductions from my paychecks. Due to the Covid pandemic, Me and my family started working from home and didn't ride Bart. In November 2023, Bart announced they no longer will accept paper tickets and asked people to turn in their tickets with $1 or over for a refund. They didn't say I can't turn in any unused tickets. So I turned in all my tickets at the Bart Agent window to mail in for a refund. Hoping once I received my refund, I will load the money to a clipper card and continue to ride BART to see my grandbaby in the ********.. And after a few months, Bart sent me a letter saying that they can't refund me and stamped (non-refundable) on all my tickets. So I emailed the Bart Treasury and explained the situation of my brand new unused tickets and the agent from the treasurer department told me I can send in my tickets for refund. So I sent in my tickets again with the case number the Bart ******************* assigned me. Once again their refund department rejected my refund request again. It's Bart's decision to discontinue the paper tickets and I as a consumer had no other choices. If they can't give me a full refund, they can at least give me a discounted refund (deduct some fees or values from my tickets or transfer the value to a clipper card so that I can ride Bart again. Both me and my husband are now retired with limited monthly income and facing the record high inflation with food and utilities, Life is not easy in the big city. There is absolutely no reasons for BART to steal money from a senior citizen. Those were hard earned money.Thank you so much for your help.

I RIDE BART WEEKLY FOR WORK, ALMOST EVERY DAY I AM WITH MY FELLOW KNOWN RIDERS AND WE ARE BEYOND DISAPPOINTED IN PUBLIC SAFETY, HOMELESS INVADE TRAINS, THEFT, LIST GOES ON AND ON. TODAY WAS ON THE TRAIN, 2 HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS ON DRUGS CAME ON THE TRAIN WITH A PAIR OF TONGS AND BEGAN TAMPERING WITH TRAIN EQUIPMENT GAINING ACCESS TO A HIDDEN POWER OUTLET ON THE TRAIN. WHEN WILL BART EVER BE SAFE, AS FAR AS MYSELF AND MANY OTHERS BART IS NOT INTERESTED IN PUBLIC SAFETY, ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY. RECENT CHANGES TO OPERATIONS SAID WOULD SEE MORE BART POLICE PRESENCE, I HAVE SEEN ZERO. WHEN I REPORT ACTIVITY ON THE TRAIN BART POLICE DO NOTHING OR THEY COME ON THE TRAINS AND DONT EVEN TRY WHEN THE INDIVIDUAL IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM. I AM AWARE OF ALL THE SERIOUS ISSUES BUT TAMPERING WITH TRAIN EQUIPMENT, DRUGS, THEFT AND SUSPICIOUS BEHAVOR WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. MYSELF AND FELLOW RIDERS PAY MONEY FOR BART TO KEEP US SAFE AND ONGOING NO EFFORTS HAVE BEEN MADE OR NOTICED. BART IS MY MAIN FORM OF TRANSPORTATION TO SAN FRANCISCO AND DONT NEED MORNING DRAMA WHEN ALL I WANT TO DO IS GET TO MY WORKPLACE.
