    FAULTY DESIGN The other day my 3 year old Lion grill, I paid $1,800 for blew up in my face. The glass temperature gauge exploded and cut my entire face up. Thank God I had glasses on or it would have blinded me. I clean my grill every few weeks and I understand flare *** can happen, but in my 30+ years of grilling Ive never had a grill explode. All the internal elements melted and the grill is no longer usable. I called Lion and all they said was its not meant to handle flare ***. They did not ask if I was ok or have any concern for their customers safety. Ive also asked several people that have been grilling for years and no one has ever had something like this happen. Do not buy this grill the *** does not stand behind the product or care about their reputation.

    I want to start by saying that we are here to help with your issue. We do not leave our customers high and dry, but there is a warranty process with different periods for different parts. Just like you said, we have never heard of temperature gauge exploding or the stainless steel melting. With normal usage of the grill, and even if there was a gas leak, we've never heard that. This is 16 gauge 304 stainless steel. Stainless steel does not start to melt until **** degrees Fahrenheit, and the grill does not reach over 800 degrees. There may be some other factors causing the issues and that is what we need to investigate and figure out. There could have been an issue with the alignment of parts when you put them back in the grill after cleaning, or an external gas issue, or a leak that resulted in the grill burning for a long time, or something else. Please either email us or call us during our business hours, at ******************* or **************, Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm PST, and we will work to resolve the issue. And if you still wish to, we can get the grill back up and running.
