Federal employee here...Last week I found on a friend's Instagram about how he had made x amount through investing with "Coach *******" and cryptocurrency Friend was reputable so contacted this "coach". Initially invested $10K through taking money from my bank account (using debit card to "pay" for bitcoin into an Exodus wallet and bitcoin machine). This $10K was then sent to the trading platform, rockettrademp.com (which I'm in the process of filing a complain with BBB). I was then instructed to purchase an "mrt" for $2000. My "trades" appeared to be skyrocketing so attempted to withdraw. I was then told I needed to "upgrade" my rocket trade mp account for $6000. *********************** continued to rise. In another attempt to withdraw I was told I couldn't until I paid for a "pin" ($15750). I reached back out to that friend to see if this was legit. The coach I was using as well as customer service with the website said it's the last step, "rest assured" it's legit, etc. So I paid in another ~$16K+. Purchasing this pin now allowed me to request withdrawal to my bank. I use Navy Federal as I am a government employee. As I was waiting for money to transfer I received an email stating I needed to pay a "reflection fee" for over $28K as the last process to get my money. With the red flags continuing to mount I attempted to contact my friend. His Instagram site had been taken down. I reached out to his wife who stated his account had been hacked and even though he had requested it be taken down it wasn't until the other day it had been. I've lost about $35K in this. I'm still in contact with "Coach *******" through whatsapp...have "her" number and a continued dialogue with this person. They think I'm trying to come up with the $28K. I can supply all text msgs and screen shots of conversations with this person and the website customer service.
