  My complaint is about my belief that Trabuco Air committed fraud and scammed me to sell a Furnace that was way above what it ordinarily sells for. I have lots of proof about the actual average cost of installation of the type of Furnace Trabuco Air wanted to sell me. I will mail you the proof by registered mail or I can email PDFs of the proof if you give me an email address.Fraud and financial crimes represent a form of criminal activity with the ultimate aim of theft. These crimes involve deceit and false statements. Fraud crimes may include a one-time abuse of trust or a large-scale scam. Unlike common theft or robbery, they do not occur in the open. By FindLaw Staff * Legally reviewed by ***********************, Esq. * Last reviewed November 04, 2023 I was contacted by Trabuco Air sometime in January to perform a maintenance check on my ** and Furnace. The cost was on sale for $99.00. A little background information about the relationship between me and Trabuco Air. I was a customer for a few years and dealt with the owner, ****** *************************. I trusted this firm to be honest and give me a good price which was competitive.A man named ********************* came out on 1/19/24 to do this maintenance check. I didnt know him. It only took him 30 minutes to complete his testing. He told me that the ** was fine but the Furnace was burning at 350 degrees. He said that is dangerous and the Furnace should be replaced. He offered no evidence and I wasnt able to go up to the attic and have him perform the test for me.

  Hi I would like to file a report about this company Trabuco Hills Air bad business conduct and overcharge of customers. I hired this company to install my HVAC and total charge was $13,350.00. The unit is installed and working. He told me my ducts were broken in the attic and it needed repairs. His estimate was $3500. I didn’t do it because my house is only 1500sft and it was a complete overcharge. I ended up calling another licensed company and they charged me $700 total for the duct work. I asked this company how much would they charge for a new system and the new quote was $6500.
  So at this point I was overcharged $6,850.00. I paid him in full by credit card during 2 week period.
  I sent the owner Benny text messages explaining the overcharge and asking him to remediate his charges or give me a return or refund policy. He became furious. He said how did I have the audacity complaining about his company. He said he was the one who got cheated because he gave me a cheaper price than other customers. Then he sent me several of his invoices of other people. He said there’s NO return policy and told me I had buyer’s remorse. He said his price was more than fair. He accused my new estimate coming from a handy man with no license. I said he’s not a handyman, he’s a local licensed company with 40 years of business.
  He said everything I was saying was absurd and that there was no refund/return.
  He doubted my duct work was completed and criticized it badly. Then he said he stood firm on his prices and he’s a lot cheaper than 75% of his competitors. I do not recommend this business his prices are very steep.
