      Do not contact Budge Blinds of ***** Valley in **********, **. unless you never want any blinds.No customer service period.

      My wife and I had purchased blinds for the entire house, however one door remain uncovered even today. This is after all payment was made and the installer was sent to appraise the situation. We were instructed to wait until the item was made, which would take roughly a month. We later received message from the installer stating our item was damaged in shipment and would take another month to be remade. Needless to say we are still waiting after three months and our attempts to make contact with the local store or installer were all ignored. What should I do next?

      We are happy with our experience hiring Budget Blinds to install shades in our remodeled house. I recommend them. ****************, did a great job in placing the order for us. *************** and his team did a great job. They worked on several window treatments, as well a motorized shade for my husband's office. They are professional and punctual.       Budget Blinds will not honour their contract with their consumers. The contract I refer to is the limited lifetime warranty they offer as part of their sales contract. They do have good products and the salesperson we originally worked with was excellent. Unfortunately one of four shades we purchased has developed frayed cords. The rest of the shades are fine. They are four years old. The Budget Blinds franchise will not repair them. They give us a contact number to a repair facility, but refuse to pay for the repair - even though the warranty states the cords are under warranty for seven years and the our sole recourse is repair. Do not be fooled by their sales pitch, if you have problems with the product they do not honour manufacturer warranties.

      On September 2nd I entered into an agreement with *************************, sales representative for *** and *********************** of Budget Blinds of Mid-Lower Manhattan, to have smart motorized shades installed in our apartment. During the sales process **** stated Budget Blinds affiliate brand Inspired Shades would function exactly like the more expensive non-affiliated Lutron brand. Specifically, **** had inspected our current Lutron set-up with a single hub hidden from sight and told me Inspired Shades would work exactly as the Lutron accessories in our apartment do. Based on this information I paid $2500 for the Inspired Shades.I was sold a product that would function with a single remote or through a phone app with a hub hidden in the same place we have a hubs for our other smart home appliances. What was delivered was a product that does not work as advertised. In simple terms, I paid for a product I did not receive. Our apartment is less than 700 sq ft and all 3 windows are on the same wall. The desired location for the hub is less than 15ft from any one blind motor. **** cited electronic interference as the reason the hub would not reach the blinds, even though none of our other smart home appliances have this issue. I have tried to solve this by offering to pay for the difference in the Inspired Shades and Lutron. I have also dedicated significant time with Budget Blinds trying to get Inspired shades to work. As a last resort I tried to involve the corporate office on **** and was promptly told they could not help. Bottom line, stay far away unless you are willing to risk the same treatment.
