I am requesting a full refund of the $500 put down to secure my enrollment offer. I applied to the part time *** program under the claim that students receive scholarships covering 60% of their tuition, plus more factoring the **** A Chapman *** admissions employee reached out to me and put my application in the first round of applications, meaning I would be factored in for the most amount of possible scholarships. The employee gave me the impression I would be receiving at least 60% of my tuition paid plus more. I applied to the *** program under this impression - I would be receiving at least 60% of my tuition paid in scholarships plus more with the **** The date of when I would receive my official scholarship offer kept getting delayed, putting me in the position to pay $500 to keep my enrollment. I was shocked to finally get my scholarship offer of around $5000 for my entire Chapman career, which is less than 2% covered. I feel deceived and lied to. Please refund my enrollment amount.

Chapman ********** offered me a merit based scholarship to entice me to attend their law school in April 2022. They also gave a large percentage of the entering 1L class scholarships. Chapmans scholarships require the student to maintain a 2.9 gpa to retain the scholarship after the first year. Chapman requires teachers to grade on a curve with a median of 2.8. 10% of their students must be given a score of 1.9 or below regardless of skill or proficiency. The school intentionally gave me a scholarship knowing that I would lose the scholarship. They intentionally set the curve at 2.8 to prevent students from transferring out of their school after losing their scholarships. In May they sent emails to the students to offer an appeal process. They intentionally sent this email to encourage retention of students who had lost their scholarship. Then they intentionally waited until the middle of July to send scholarship appeal rejection letters knowing that July was past the transfer application deadline for most schools. Chapman continues this practice of baiting students to attend their school offering large scholarships that they know the students cannot keep. I would like Chapman to re instate my scholarship because I earned my scholarship by having a 3.9 gpa and 161 on the lsat. Secondly my scholarship appeal letter met the requirements: I was in a car accident during my freshman year, the accident affected my performance. If that does not meet the requirement of extraordinary circumstances, I do not know what does. Thank you
