    I have been a member for 10+ years and have only had positive interactions with the company so I am surprised to see some of these reviews. Thank goodness I haven't had to use it on my travels but having my EA+ card in my wallet has been reassuring. Every time I have called the customer service line with a question on services or what to do in an emergency, I have talked to a live person who has been extremely helpful and has answered my questions quickly and efficiently. Thank you EA+! Keep up the good work!

    EA+ was a real lifesaver for me! A scooter trip turned bad but EA+ was nothing short of fantastic!!! I have carried EA Plus insurance for a number of years hoping never to use it. In 2021 that all changed and I have truly gained great appreciation for this insurance. Now I won't be without it!
    Always before leaving on an adventure I would remind my wife of my EA+ coverage and tell her that they should be the first call if bad things ever happen. I honestly think she was tired of hearing that. Little did she realize the fact that EA+ would ever be needed.
    About 150 miles into the cross-country motor scooter ride, sandy debris of the road sent me and my scooter out of control at a mere 20 mph. A short ride to a nearby community hospital and a quick decision to transfer me to the level 1 Trauma center at Portland Maine. As soon as my wife heard of the accident she contacted EA+ and was amazed at the degree to which they were ready to assist her. A 10 day stay in the hospital before the trauma doctors approved my transfer back to Florida and EA+ was quick to arrange air transport back home to Florida. Unfortunately the Trauma team then decided that air transport was not possible due to the injuries. Delays due to Covid resulted in a slight delay in the return to home but EA+ was fantastic! EA+ was quick to arrange alternative transport via train and limo with 2 escort nurses.
    EA+ did everything possible to assist me in any way possible. One of my trauma physicians commented that he was not accustomed to dealing with such “Cadillac” quality insurance.
    Having retired as a Medical School professor I think I’m a pretty good judge of quality care and this was an example to the highest quality of care.
    I highly recommend EA+ for anyone who travels.

    We needed EA+ a few years ago when I fell and suffered a concussion fracture of a vertebra in my lower back. EA+ oversaw my hospital stay, scheduled a non-stop plane for me in business class (also my spouse in coach), sent an RN to travel with us and got us settled in our home. Without this assistance, getting the care I needed would have been very difficult. Thank you. BTW, I have told many folks of your services. In fact, I gave a photo of the back of my membership card to a friend to that they could contact you!

    In early July 2012 my husband and I began a car trip from our home in Boynton Beach, Florida, to visit friends in Northern Virginia and his family in Maryland and then we planned to continue to New York State to see my family and friends in New York. We were happy and excited. I had completed my last radiation treatment about a week before and he had purchased a new-to-us car the same week. We planned on traveling about 3 weeks. We were both EA+ members and we had our cards in our wallets, but when I needed it, I never thought to look for it. We left our last stop in Maryland after a very nice visit with his daughter. Alan said he was very tired, and I took over the driving when we left Baltimore and were on Route 95 going north. Once on the New Jersey Turnpike, we decided not to rush to our destination. We found a nice motel that had room for us and our little bichon dog. After a nice nap, a good dinner at a nearby restaurant, and relaxing, I with a book and he with a paper, we went out for ice cream. When we returned to the room, he went to bed, and I sat up reading for a couple of hours before also going to bed. That was when I realized that I did not hear him breathing. I tried to awaken him. Then I called the front desk for help. The emergency response arrived, and I was moved into another room. I finally remembered about EA+ the next morning, but not that I had the card. I called the Hadassah Region office to find out how to get in touch with EA+ and then I called Emergency Assistance. All I knew was that the funeral would be in Virginia. EA+ took over and handled everything, contacting the Medical Examiner, the funeral home, and transporting my husband. One friend took an Amtrak train from Washington, D.C. to me and drove my car back to another friend's home in Virginia where I stayed. Friends, family and EA+ all took care of me. I thanked them at the time and now I thank all of you at EA+. I have always been grateful to have all of you.

    My wife and I were traveling in Alberta, CA, and while visiting Lake Louise she tripped and broke BOTH shoulders!! Following emergency surgery in Calgary EA+ arranged the flight back to Atlanta, including an accompanying nurse to take care of her on the plane. They had the good seats, but EA+ also covered my seat back in the coach section. EA+ took care of everything including transportation to and from the airports. It made a very difficult situation a lot less so.

    its a scam. They used a third party to send Mom, with dementia, their grift and she paid em thinking it was a bill and not a con. Got the renewal some weeks ago, called em up, on hold for near enough an hour, spoke with someone who made me jump through hoops and refused to tell me what services they provide. I jumped through all the hoops (because you aint getting over on me!) and called back today. They hadnt even processed all the crap the first operator had demanded. Having read the infinite heinous reviews of them here, I started off in a bad mood and made sure they knew it could get MUCH worse. The only reason I give one star is that the operator I got today DID actually help me (without the stuff the first had demanded, btw) cancel the subscription Mom didnt even know shed signed up for. Im gonna go back and promise to flame the entire scam unless they give me Moms money back as NO ONE NEEDS TRAVEL INSURANCE IN THE MIDDLE OF LOCKDOWNS. ******** like this live to exploit seniors. Fight back or these low lifes will drain you dry. PS. the bill said they are based in Pasadena CA but the fax number (the first op had suggested I snail mail the paperwork she lied she said she needed to try to hit Moms card again while the stuff was in transit) was Phoenix so theyre ducking and jiving.

Our goal is to provide services to members who plan to travel and want protection in case of an unexpected emergency. Although the first representative you spoke with followed the standard HIPAA-compliant verification process for cases when a member’s personal representative calls about their EA+ account, we understand the frustration you experienced when attempting to receive answers to your questions. We appreciate your feedback as a means to help us strengthen communications with members and personal representatives calling on their behalf. Additionally, our operations are handled out of two different office locations: California for billing and Arizona for customer service.     EA Plus failed today. I have been a member of Emergency Assistance Plus for six years (Member K**** ********). They seem to be providing an excellent service as I read the testimonial letters. Today, however, they dropped the ball. My wife fell in Ireland. I called EA Plus for advice to find a medical facility to see her and review her condition. EA Plus sent me to a clinic 112 miles away with a minimum charge of 380 Euros. Instead, I located a top notch critical care hospital only 19 miles away. We received excellent care for a charge of 0 Euros.
